I wish I could get to see it MiceElf. I used to run some basic science sessions at Beaver Scouts and one table dealt with chromatography - the children loved that and were fascinated that all is not always as it seems

I once worked for a professor of physiology and he was telling me once that women see more shades of colour than men do - maybe there's also a difference in the shades between women as well.

Some forums enable you to click on a above posters remarks and then click again in your own posting 'box' and it all then appears there, in it's own neat little box within your box.Name, time, remarks. Wish this forum did the same.
It's a sort of dusky pink to me, not lilac.

It's lilac to me. Pink is the background colour of the New Granny's Survival Guide advertised at the side.

Can someone tell me what a hashtag is for please ?

a Hashtag is the # symbol used for to prefix twitter tags which enable searching.
So if you are in twitter and search for #Tiptree it will bring up all posts that have #Tiptree in their search tags.

Not sure that makes it clearer, go into Twitter and try searching for Tiptree and then #Tiptree, you should see the difference.

I think the term used to be 'mauve'.
