I haven't been back to this thread all day so I've only just seen some of the comments, and I got the giggles at what I posted being "manifestly untrue". What does that even mean? (I often get the giggles at language).

Yes! I find this colour scheme depressing!

It reminds me of a pink that Laura Ashley used to use for wallpaper; never used it myself as it had a slightly depressing quality to it. Not enough blue in it to be lilac. Then again don't we all see colours differently? I used to have some green towels that everyone else said were brown .

a Hashtag is the # symbol used for to prefix twitter tags which enable searching.
So if you are in twitter and search for #Tiptree it will bring up all posts that have #Tiptree in their search tags.

Not sure that makes it clearer, go into Twitter and try searching for Tiptree and then #Tiptree, you should see the difference.

It's lilac to me. Pink is the background colour of the New Granny's Survival Guide advertised at the side.

Some forums enable you to click on a above posters remarks and then click again in your own posting 'box' and it all then appears there, in it's own neat little box within your box.Name, time, remarks. Wish this forum did the same.
