The site seems to be getting bigger. Hurrah for new members!

Right now, the 50 discussions on the Active Board only go as far back as 12.30pm this afternoon.

Any chance we could have more than 50 discussions shown?

Crikey Moses! Who has the time?!

soontobe Mon 13-Jul-15 18:17:33

!
You can be on it the same amount of time, but have more of a selection of threads.

Hi soontobe

You can use last day which will show you more - hope that helps

durhamjen Mon 13-Jul-15 18:21:57

If you look at I'm on rather than active, you miss out the threads you are not interested in. You still get 50, but only the ones of interest to you.

Grannyknot Mon 13-Jul-15 18:26:50

soon you'd have to peruse say 100, to see whether they interest you or not, rather than 50.

I've been off GN forums, literally and figuratively grin and having come back briefly will now head for the hills again! (Can't promise I won't enter competitions though smile

Good points.

I have just had a look at Last Day[thanks Cari, not really pressed that button before], and it has 87 discussions.
It also includes the Gransnet Local Boards which is nice.

hi grannyknot
how are you xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Grannyknot Mon 13-Jul-15 18:58:12

grin fine, thanks!

grannyonce Mon 13-Jul-15 19:08:45

but we don't know if we are interested in (but not on) a thread without looking at active or searching the forums.
Oh and can we have an 'ignore' button? it would be so helpful
heading for my hill too. smile

shysal Mon 13-Jul-15 20:02:04

I opt to watch any threads that I am anxious to follow, makes life easier.

Why do people keep leaving? confused

grannyonce Tue 14-Jul-15 06:55:09

mgran in my case - 'bullying' and personal remarks

Teetime Tue 14-Jul-15 09:11:34

It does get a bit samey merlot

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jul-15 09:16:44

I don't believe many people do actually leave. Just get a bit bored and stop posting. Or else they want to show how "wounded and upset" they are (hmm) I'll bet they still read it every so often.

grannyonce Tue 14-Jul-15 14:39:35

no jingl it is not to show how 'wounded and upset' they are that people leave.
if you have been called pathetic, a troll and immature by the 'my way or noway' coven for a throw away remark that punctured their endless BS and posturing (as if anyone would listen to a lot of lefty grannies) you would leave to.
besides which it is getting so boring that I struggle to find anything worth reading let alone commenting on
back to my hill which is far more pleasant smile

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jul-15 14:45:28

But..... you haven't actually left have you? And I hope you don't. Stay, and slug it out on the threads. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jul-15 14:46:35

Now I really need to know what your hill is like? Is it green and grassy? Are there cows?

grannyonce Tue 14-Jul-15 16:36:45

I do actually live on a hill and can see for miles. Yes it is green - but then Herefordshire is - and yes there are cows smile much nicer place to be.
I am leaving the forum for a while - the threads and the usual suspects are so tedious - why I would like an 'ignore poster' option.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jul-15 19:13:08

Love Herefordshire. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jul-15 19:14:33

(that means 'be back soon')

Anne58 Tue 14-Jul-15 19:38:56

I have been here since day 1, I don't think I've ever been part of a "coven" in fact I wasn't aware that there was one! confused

Am I missing out? If there is one, why haven't I been invited to join it?

It's because of my cellulite, isn't it? Go on, you have been put off because of the thought of my wobbling thighs and buttocks as I dance naked around the flaming bonfire of knitting patterns, showing chaps with pipes, gazing into the middle distance whilst wearing a zip up cardy!

Ana Tue 14-Jul-15 19:47:28

Not that sort of coven, phoenix.

I know exactly what grannyonce means. Hope she will BBS.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 14-Jul-15 19:53:38

It's silly to call anything on here a "coven" though.

Ana Tue 14-Jul-15 19:56:03

Yes, just as it's silly to liken someone to an online troublemaker.
