Huge egos at GNHQ

Why do they think our posts on here are so all-important to us that they have to contact us before deleting one, to give us a chance to "withdraw the post" of our own volition. confused It's a website. On the Internet. It's not holy.

And while I'm on the subject, I'm 73 FGS! I do not appreciate young whippersnappers, even if they do call themselves 'GNHQ' talking down to me as if I am a naughty schoolgirl. hmm

ME ME ME ME ......... oh no, why ME? So unfair roastchicken

I don't think you've quite understood the reference, granjura...confused

did witches actually waved red flags at hunters? If they did, surely they would not be surprised if the hunters came out. LOL, who started this thread, witch hunters? Too funny or, honestly, silly for words.

I'm with loopylou. I've missed it again. confused

Luckygirl Sun 09-Aug-15 19:53:06

I always think about what I am going to say, because in the main we do not know others on here as individuals and there may be many reasons why someone might be feeling vulnerable that we know nothing of. It would be a shame to do harm.

I am sure that I get it wrong sometimes, but I do try not to risk giving offence or hurt.

A "young whippersnapper" contacted me once about a post she felt needed deleted. It didn't get deleted so I assumed she'd contacted someone 'above' her who told her to calm down or something wink

Nothing deleted from the mother in law thread when I looked a minute or two ago.

And then, cue the high horses!

Ana Sun 09-Aug-15 19:25:00

Exactly, Elegran.

Elegran Sun 09-Aug-15 19:23:54

Some of jings instant replies are exactly what a lot of people's first thoughts are on seeing what has been posted. They are not always tactful - but often they go straight to the point.

whitewave Sun 09-Aug-15 19:20:05

I hope that this isn't turning into a witch hunt. Not a very attractive trait.

Ana Sun 09-Aug-15 19:18:37

Sorry, I don't agree! smile

Blimey, how hard are we supposed to think before we post? The moment would be gone...

Luckygirl Sun 09-Aug-15 19:16:56

No! - I a sure most posters think very hard about what they are going to say (including jingl) and do not just shoot from the hip.

annsixty Sun 09-Aug-15 19:16:25

Shades of Katie Hopkins, anything to draw attention to ones self. The more provocative the better.

Ana Sun 09-Aug-15 19:16:05

Not you personally of course, Luckygirl.

Ana Sun 09-Aug-15 19:15:20

Well, that's one way of looking at it. Don't you think it's possible to just say what you mean without considering your words from every angle beforehand?

Luckygirl Sun 09-Aug-15 19:11:08

I definitely think that jingl knows full well when she is being provocative! - I credit her with more intelligence than to do so unwittingly! Whatever turns you on!

rosesarered Sun 09-Aug-15 19:10:29

Just not 'report' buttons..... But anything else and I have to push it.

rosesarered Sun 09-Aug-15 19:09:03

Some people just adore buttons.I know I do!grin

Ana Sun 09-Aug-15 19:04:37

hovering

Ana Sun 09-Aug-15 19:02:33

I don't think jingl says things just to be provocative. She says what she thinks at the time - but there'll always be someone with their finger over the 'report' button...hmm

whitewave Sun 09-Aug-15 18:56:47

I love jings posts, love the humour and the hit from the hip breath of fresh air. I think perhaps some People take her too seriously , only once has she peeved me I made it clear and the dear girl immediately apologised.

Katek Sun 09-Aug-15 18:51:29

Oh dear Jingl. confused

ginny Sun 09-Aug-15 18:49:46

* Luckygirl* I think you have hit the nail on the head. grin
