JaneA It's a good job someone is awake this morning. I had not noticed on GN.

FarNorth Sun 27-Mar-16 16:55:26

Never mind, just wait till October and it will be right again.

tbublush We'll get onto Tech. Thank you for flagging.

janeainsworth Mon 28-Mar-16 11:21:52

Presumably Tech is still in bed too.
I'm amazed the computers don't automatically change the time!

Synonymous Mon 28-Mar-16 11:26:17

Isn't it funny how nowadays we all assume that everything works automatically. I can well remember the days when computers were starting to come in and all the 'input' we had to undertake. tbusmile

janeainsworth Mon 28-Mar-16 15:30:07

It's not really an assumption, syn, it's a fact.
My phone knew the clocks had gone forwards and so did the computer at home.
I was genuinely surprised that the GN site software hadn't incorporated the time change.
I don't know what it's up to. I tried to put 'pedant alert' using the forwards and backwards arrows at the beginning of this post and got a red message saying 'message invalid'tbushock
I thought I must have been bannedtbushock

Alea Mon 28-Mar-16 21:11:35

I too have occasionally had the "message invalid" message when I have tried to incorporated the "sideways v's "(it has just happened again .)Anybody know why? [sigh]

Ana Mon 28-Mar-16 21:16:00

Why would you want to incorporate a sideways 'v' in a message? Seriously, what does it mean...? confused

janeainsworth Mon 28-Mar-16 21:45:46

Ana you use them when you want to describe what you're doing, eg "flounces off" or "goes away scratching head"
I've just tried it with sideways v's and I'm getting the red message again.

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 28-Mar-16 21:59:03

's alright. confused

jinglbellsfrocks Mon 28-Mar-16 22:00:59

I don't understand why the "Easter" competition has not been judged yet. Things are going to pot round here.

>test<
jingl it seems to work when you use the forward arrow first and the backward arrow second, but not the other way round.
I wish tech would clock on and explain the mystery.

janeainsworth Tue 29-Mar-16 07:03:22

And it's 8amBST not 7amGMT.

Alea Tue 29-Mar-16 07:38:44

So do I no longer need to be impressed by those who are up at crack of dawn, or is it t'other way round? confused

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 29-Mar-16 08:10:11

Today I'm impressed by no one and nothing. I feel like shit.
