New site design being tested!

Desktop view has the new logo but mobile site has the old. I seem to find new confusions every time I log on! No joy with Watching or I'm On.

I mostly use my phone, using either 'active' or I'm on. Both are ok for me. I don't like the lack of colour contrast but otherwise it works for me.

I'll report on the computer aspect and my tablet when I use them next.

PLEASE help me to get back on "I'm on".No matter how recent my post I'm told I have not posted. Very frustrating

The new Last Hour is a disaster. The old format showed more than just the last poster, and gave a flavour of how the discussion was going.

What is the justification for this change?

Oh good God, I've just checked out the "I'm on" and "Last Hour" options. GNHQ what on earth are you playing at? I haven't seen a layout that amateurish since I first started cruising the internet about 20 years ago.
Seriously, you need to get this sorted or this site will be a laughing stock. The average 10 year old could design a website more professional looking than this.

The 'Last Day' only shows the last few hours, surely it should show the last 24 hrs? I also miss my own posts being highlighted when I scroll through a thread. I posted earlier today and can't find the topic at all unless I use the search function.

While I don't hate the new layout, and appreciate how much work goes into making changes, I think it is important to ensure that any changes don't diminish accessibility by GNs, especially those with poor vision.

Glad it is just a test- can we now get back to how it was?

New site design has now been tested and has failed!

Really dislike the latest reincarnation. Not at all clear on an iPad. Would t even attempt it with an iPhone.

Also I like to see what the last poster said as well as the name. That often tempts me to read the thread,

Absolutely horrible. Just posted about the changes in Last Hour and I'm on, on the petition thread. It looks wonky and unsightly and whyever has it been changed? I'm not happy GNHQ

Just gone into 'Last 24 hours' and come straight out, I give up, I cannot cope with this new layout.

I only went down the first few threads on 'I am on'.

This site has become utterly unuseable.

Does anyone have a copy of the book 'Web design for Dummies' to sd the GN design team.

Well, the final straw would be if they give us some preposterous 'strapline' chosen by MN, which nobody wants and makes us sound like a load of old duffers with nothing else to do but potter around on here all day...

Just come online after being out all day. I thought the site was looking even worse than before, but thought it might just be that I was tired.

Then I read the posts and realised that GN's response to all our criticisms about the site being more difficult to read and navigate is to make it even worse!!

Do you think they are trying to close the site down on the sly. Make it harder and harder to use until we all give up so that they can close it from lack of users?

The worst part is that you get a Forum heading, on the left, and a subject, on the right. So if you click on the 'wrong' bit, you don't end up where you want to be. IYSWIM. Sorry, I need another cuppa right now. (And my back is aching from being out all day). But we did have a good time.

Now what have you done GN ? Why the horrible layout for 'I'm on' 'Last hour' etc? It is so hard to read

It is like that on mine and I absolutely hate it. GNHQ are going overboard now with the fiddling about and this is about the last straw. It's awful, bland, difficult to follow and an utter waste of someone's time and resources!

Can you see them now? Not a good example, but it seems to all have changed. Let's go back to the old format, in all things. Yes?
