We are constantly looking at the way we work with brands and thought it might be useful to ask which ones you like best, why, and what you would tell them they were doing right/wrong if you had the chance. We would also love to know about any products you particularly like from your favourite brands too

I hate Lidl and Aldi; they make me feel like I'm on holiday in some back street supermarket in Europe and I can't find a brand I recognise!! I prefer to support British stores. Use it or lose it, folks, but don't complain afterwards.

Forgot to metion Van Dal for shoes, I've been ordering their stuff on line whenever they have sales and have been quite happy with what I've bought.

I have a few food brands I'm wedded to, I really love Ykos yogurts, particularly raspberry, other than that Dolce Gusto Cortado coffee pods, Jackson's wholemeal bread and I suppose I'd always go for Heinz beanz rather than anyone else's, ditto Kellogs for cornflakes. Husband likes his marmalade to be Frank Cooper's. I shop around as far as supermarkets are concerned, my regular ones are Waitrose and Sainsburys but also use Marks, Aldi and Lidl. Favourite high street stores, Waterstones, (I hate WH Smith avoid it like the plague) Clothes, well East is unfortunately in it's final death throes, shame! I did like their stuff, Sea Salt and Joules, are going to mop up for me I guess. I still go to Gap and Marks. I like The White Company too, particularly for diffusers. My favourite of the restaurant chains is Cote and to ascend into retail heaven, there is only one place and that is of course John Lewis.

Isn’t that funny. missfoodlove I detest TKMax its my most unfavourite shop and I think I ve only ever bought one item from it I never see anything worth a second look Good job we re not all the same at least I leave all the ‘bargins’ for you
I can’t think of any brand or high street shop I m particularly loyal to .Food shop mostly at Lldl and I m happy with them I don’t taste any difference between the ‘makes’ and the ‘fakes’ so I m cheap to keep Mind you when you watch the price cut programmes half the people who proclaim they would only ever use Heinz or Kellogg’s etc etc don’t usually know the difference when the label is covered up ?
Favourite shop good quality charity shop or book shop ( we only have one Waterstones in my town so not much to choose from)

Aussie Miracle shampoos and conditioner - amazingly I have been unable to find Aussie products in Australia, they've 'never heard of them' - can you ask them why not?!

Juggernaut Wed 21-Feb-18 14:30:11

missdeke Wed 21-Feb-18 13:12:47

My GTech vacuum cleaner and Por Cóz, not common in the UK but it dissolves limescale like nothing else I've ever known. Makes Cillit Bang look like rubbish.

moorlikeit Wed 21-Feb-18 12:58:06

Ethically sound products that I buy and enjoy:
Ryvita dry biscuits
Nairn's oat cakes
Walker's shortbread
Duchy Original biscuits
REN skin care
Neal's Yard skin care
Tresemme hair products
L'Oreal make-up
Plus I avoid using too many caustic cleaning products which are killers in terms of the environment. The ones I use regularly & find effective are:
Cif Easy-Lift Kitchen
Persil washing-up liquid
I use vinegar and baking soda for some jobs - cheap, effective and better for the world we live in and are handing on to our grandchildren.

Craftycat Wed 21-Feb-18 12:56:53

Lakeland for sure.
Fage Total Greek yoghurt-nothing made over here tastes the same.
Lurpak
Sainsburys
Tropic skin care range- no animal ingredients or testing & just wonderful on my skin.
Nespresso coffee pods.
Lindor white chocolate balls
Bournville dark chocolate
Waitrose own brand cod fish fingers

Cambia Wed 21-Feb-18 12:55:12

GrangegranL. You must be the same funny shape as me! Tried every bra in M&S and the fitter gave up! Back to Panache and Fantasy build for the oddly shaped!

I realised about the toilet roll just as I sent the post. Then thought to myself oh well it's probably needed after all that chocolate. Thought no one else would see the connection!

Daisynance123 Wed 21-Feb-18 12:41:59

Something wrong with me, I find Lakeland boring. Like Boden, Hobs and have had some nice things from Tesco f and f. Also Triumph bras, No 7 serum and some Garnier. Really like Lidl.

SueDoku Wed 21-Feb-18 12:38:20

Cotton Traders clothing and shoes. Good quality, everything fits me perfectly, not too expensive - what's not to like..?smile

Fennel Wed 21-Feb-18 12:34:52
