With regard to the suspicions that have been voiced, to what end would "hijacking" jane10, or anyone else on Gransnet, be used? The idea seems so far fetched.

Of course Leaving and returning is allowed Baggs but are you suggesting people leave and return ten times I can understand once or maybe twice
I m not the one imagining it’s hijacking that was other posters I just think it’s really annoying to have two names almost the same not only confusing but can be controversial if they have very opposing views

According to a post I saw recently, LadyJane is in poor health and has a lot of pain. Perhaps she just isn't well enough to post frequently and isn't aware of your existence Jane.

ladyjane10 has replied to my PM. She has said that she won't post again. I told her that there's no need to withdraw but to consider another user name. She did point out to me that at least she's a lady. Nice.

That's a shame Jane10. As you say, there isn't any need for LadyJane10 not to post again. Maybe she'll reconsider in a little while. Hope so anyway.

As names go and more people join there are bound to be similarities, I don't remember reading threads before I joined so didn't see any other names. Easy to just explain to all and change your name and remain part of a good group rather than lose the chance to make friends.
