Tool bar

I use the red bar at the bottom of the page on the mobile site to navigate.
I can open threads and post fine but the tool bar is not working. This has only happened in the last half hour.

Anyone else having a problem ?

A computer toolbar is simply a collection of things, usually somewhat related by function, using an icon as a shortcut to perform a task.

“File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help” is the one I’m seeing right now, and is typical of what to expect. Note that each selection may lead to additional choices.

The program you’re using at the moment controls the choices available.

Apologies that this issue is persisting. We are still looking into it. We've not been able to replicate the problem this end in order to investigate it, which means it's taking longer to solve. But rest assured, we haven't forgotten. smile

Thanks BlueBelle and kittylester

Anyone else that's having this problem - is it specific to one device? i.e. does it only happen on your phone?

kittylester Tue 14-May-19 16:39:01

I'm on my phone. There is no problem on the lap top.

BlueBelle Tue 14-May-19 16:28:59

Fine for me no problem on my iPad

Hi ninathenana we've had two separate issues with the toolbar - that it is disappearing and that it is unresponsive so we're trying to help with both issues.

Tech are looking into this. Thanks for your patience.

kittylester Tue 14-May-19 12:56:13

I have also been using the drop down menu but it is much more long winded.

ninathenana Tue 14-May-19 11:33:55

Sarah I did state in my OP that the tool bat is there but unresponsive. I have been using the drop down menu to navigate.
I will send a screen shot.

kittylester Tue 14-May-19 11:18:04

Have sent a screen shot.

kittylester Tue 14-May-19 11:13:31

My toolbar exists as it always has but is unresponsive. Not a lot of point sending a s reen shot but I will if it helps!

Hi all,

If you are still having an issue with the toolbar, please could we ask that you take a screenshot and send it to us. For privacy purposes, this is best done by emailing it to [email protected]

It's hard for us to reproduce the toolbar problem our end so we rely on those screenshots to see exactly what you are experiencing.

Thanks for you assistance flowers

SarahGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 14-May-19 10:53:41

Hi kittylester, we posted about this above last week with the screenshot. The issue that was raised to us was that the toolbar was missing and the directions above should solve this. However, if the issue is that it's simply unresponsive, then we'll have to revert back to tech.

Do remember you can report these things to us directly by emailing [email protected]

We'll come back to you once tech have taken another look.

Thanks for your patience grin

Any news yet?

kittylester Thu 09-May-19 14:36:25

I have always had a tool bar - it just doesnt work.

I dont think we mentioned it being missing just broken.

It is a real nuisance!

grannysyb Thu 09-May-19 14:31:41

Well it worked for about 10 minutes! Not working now!

grannysyb Thu 09-May-19 14:18:06

It's worked, thanks!

For those of you having a problem with this, could you please try opening the drop down menu on the right-hand side of the Forums tab (its a small down arrow). When this menu drops down, at the bottom you'll see an option to hide/show shortcuts. If you want the toolbar to show then you'll need to have this set to 'show shortcut buttons'.

We've attached a screenshot to show you what you should see. You may or may not have selected this accidentally yourself or it may be a tech gremlin. Either way, this should solve it. Let us know how you get on. grin

Yes, well, you know what many Kiwi will say to that Rufus

'No surprise there mate, Aussies always get it wrong!' grin

Rufus2 Mon 06-May-19 12:05:49

even Kiwis never get them mixed up. grin
I remember a recent debate between you and Jalima working out who says what, but I think Aussies call a spade a "bloody shovel"! grin

BradfordLass72 Sun 05-May-19 21:14:03

Rufus As spades and shovels are quite different, even Kiwis never get them mixed up. grin
