After I've written something here, you should see 3 red dots on the bottom right. (That's how mine looks, it may be different on an Ipad)
You can click on on those dots and some options come up.
One of them is 'pm'. Click on that and you can send a pm to that person.

How does that work?

Tanith the " promotions " box is with google mail. It's mailed adverts etc. which are separate from ordinary in-coming mail. There's a " social " mail too.
I've yet to get used to it all.

I just click on the blue heading and the message is revealed.

I also cannot delete PMs. I used to be able to but not now.

My pm's end up in the " promotions " box and not the usual mail received one ? Therefore I never know if I've received a pm through the normal route.
Also, I can't delete unwanted pm's,even from last year.

I agree Tanith! It would be great to have the whole conversation in one place, without having to bounce backwards and forwards between Inbox and Sent.

I don’t know why it’s like that but it just is. I suppose we’re so used to texting and seeing the whole conversation that it seems odd when you can’t.
I find it annoying too when I have to go to the ‘sent’ box to be sure of what I’ve said in a previous message maybe someone from tech could explain why.
