OPs highlighted on green throughout the post - why do some people have this and not others?

Just as an aside - on MN you can hide entire thread topics e.g. if you don’t want to see any of the News and Politics threads (v tempting...) you can elect to hide them all. Given that this is MN’s sister (mother?) site and I presume it uses the same platform, why can’t we do that too?

When logged out my posts are white too-

Original OP is in green and I'm pink but if OP makes any other comment it is white. I would love it to show up in green as it's nice to know when the original OP comes back.

It's the same on mine. Not an iPhone. I have to be logged in though, to see myself in pink.

I think it's something to do with the settings.

You can alter them, I think, in desktop mode.

OP is green and subsequents post by OP are white, mine are always pink.
This is on phone, tablet and PC. No difference.

My own are mostly pink, but sometimes come up white.

Original post is green, subsequent ones in white and my own are pink. This is the same on iPad, iPhone and laptop.
