I remember why I posted on this thread. It was because I wanted to write to you about gossip. My general idea about gossip is it can be useful if it does not harm anybody. It's also useful if it illustrates some evil -doing.

Suziewoosie's original post I take to be about gossipy media. I don't read these but years ago I did and I complained to News of the World editor about some teacher who had killed himself as a result of News or the World destroying his reputation for a trivial misdemeanor. I mean, even a true story ought not to be reported unless it has some use apart from arousing sensations in the readers.
