I love the sense of humour of many posters, their posts often make me laugh out loud, much to the puzzlement of my DH.

It's interesting to hear from people with ideas that are quite different from mine, particularly (dare I mention it?) on the politics threads. I rarely post on them though, as they can get a bit unpleasant. I know that we should all read the DM and the Guardian, so that we are exposed to both sides of any debate, but I really prefer to come to GN!

I love the fact that I can just drop in anytime and have a chat about almost anything. It’s like having a coffee with an old friend. I look forward to reading the morning posts and seeing what people are up to before I go to work. I love the fact I can post about something that I’m worried about or need advice and there’s always someone that will help me.

Hello Jannerjj - does your name indicate you're from a certain city in Devon by any chance? wink

I like that without leaving my home (armchair/bed) I have an opportunity to engage with a community of people from many walks of life. I find it stimulating and challenging to interact with people, many of whose views and opinions differ from my own.

But mostly I like that the vast majority of people on here mean well and can be very supportive. smile

What I love about GN is knowing that there are a lot of other people like me ? in a good way of course ?. Good articles and chats that I can relate to , thank you
