Why don't you do what most of us do, check your inbox regularly or sign up for email alerts, when you have a PM?

You do know, FH, you don't have to keep quoting the poster you are replying to? I personally find it affects the flow of the thread, especially if it was a lenghty post. However, that's only my very humble opinion.

I don't check my email unless I have sent for something as I only communicate by phone calls, FaceTime or text messages. X

You can easily click on the Inbox at the top right of the Gransnet page each time you log onto Gransnet. It only takes a second to find out whether you have any messages.

I think it would be extremely helpful if GNHQ could send FH a reminder to check her emails for reminders .
Is that too much to ask?

I'm surprised that you remember when there used to be a little icon regarding unread messages on the "Inbox" tab Donna? We've not had that facility for a very long time, as Marydoll explained. And you're quite a new member too? I'm sure it's long before you joined that we had that facility.

I cannot be the only one (unless of course I'm very special) that gets an email saying something like "You have a private message from Joe Bloggs"? I then go to the inbox, and lo & behold, as if by magic, there it is!
