Um you re obviously not following the pattern ?
1. -first Dash then word (no space)
2 -first- Then go to front of word and do a dash that end (no space)
then right back to the very beginning BEFORE the first dash
3 --first- So far ok?
4 then right to the end for the second dash after
first

So you’ve got four movements before word, after word before dash, after dash ( no spaces)

No need for all the back and forth, type two dashes, then the word, then two dashes again. No spaces between dashes and word that needs to be crossed out. It's easy!

fevertree the reason for all the back and forth manoeuvres is that the method you’ve described doesn’t work on many iPads and you have to use the method bluebelle said to get strike through.

Until now I have never had a deletion in my life but there is always a 1st, 2nd or 3rd time. I have lost count.

I think I've had 3 threads deleted. Is this a record? I was getting a bit paranoid about it wondering if people were sabotaging my threads deliberately, but what really narks me is not seeing the posts that cause it.
It's sunny here as well and the wind has gone. I will have to go out and check the tiles on the roof (The tiles are on the roof I'll be checking from the ground).
