Anyone else having trouble sending PMs?

Just bumping this up as today is the day we are supposed to have a solution

I've done what Zadie recommend and checked the send box. I was just getting an OK when I clicked send. Send box shows I did it four times

I didn't realise when I first joined a month ago that quite a few meet up or contact by email. I've looked at the meet up thread but there's nothing in my area.

Continuing from my comment re Riverwalk's.
In fact, there is many a time, especially at night, when I'd like to have a 'proper' chat with someone, but you just have to make do with disjointed comments on various threads.

I just don't get this obsession with complaining about the PM facility being down. If you're so close to members that you exchange regular PMs and even meet-up in real life, why not exchange email addresses?

That way you're not at the mercy of an erratic facility on a commercial chat forum.

Well, nothing is going to be resolved until Monday at the very earliest.
I've said previously that nothing happens here at the weekend.
I wonder how long they would let a problem with the Report function drag on for?

Me too iam mine won’t send at all and neither can I receive because I picked up in the good morning thread nearly a week ago that someone had sent me one but it’s never arrived

My messages don’t send. I simply get a box saying ‘close’

Thanks Espee. It looks as though the message was sent 3 times as I have a message there saying two have been deleted at users request? I didn't request that so perhaps the recipient did therefore got the message, if you see what I mean ?

Sarah, I use the PM facility to alert people we are having a Meet Up, when they haven't responded to a thread on it. It ensures they are not missed out.
It's a way of keeping in touch with posters you feel you havee an affinity with.

I have a question for GNHQ.
DanTech, have you tried switching off and on the router?.,

No not at all Sarah it’s just a way of responding personally to a post or a person and who knows in my case it’s made three good friends who I ve never met but value (I might add none are no longer regular posters so no good trying to work out who)
Just to give a for instance what if some one posts up a problem that you ve found a way through but it feels too personal to put on the main thread... What if someone was looking for a particular item that you knew you had and would be happy to send them What if you just feel a connection what if you have an answer but for reasons of identification you don’t want to put it for all the world to see or what if you just want to add a bit of personal support
But no in my case I don’t know anybody on GN

The errors with it seem to be changing all of the time.
