I agree suziewoozie, initially, thinking the forthcoming trial was about to be discussed, I was concerned!
There will indeed be posters who are probably not aware what the term sub judice means.

How incredibly mean spirited this post is and quite the personal attack. Lovely. Thank you SO much for reminding me about the internet - I’d quite forgotten. But there you go, I’m the most naive person on the planet.- I wonder who’s the most unnecessarily rude on GN?

I think broadcast media , print journalism and the like are forbidden by law from discussing cases where someone has been arrested or on trial. It doesn’t extend to chats over the garden fence, at the bus stop or on Twitter. Maybe it should by the law was enacted before the advent of social media. I doubt if GN could be prosecuted for any sort of contempt of court, though a lawyer could advise.

Vegansrock - the law on contempt of court applies to everyone, including social media sites. The link suziewoozie has provided makes this abundantly clear. I'm often horrified by some of the things people post (not necessarily on here) in regards to live court cases, which could jeopardise an entire trial. It's ironic that in cases where the mobs are baying for 'justice', that some of the things they are posting could actually endanger a trial and lead to that justice not in fact being served.

I think one of the papers have given a date for the trial until then I do not want to hear about it. Once the trial begins and finishes then all will be revealed.
