Having ticked the notification box on the Watching option, I am, for the first time since I joined a couple of years ago, receiving a flurry of emails today.

Is this the same for everyone or have others been receiving these throughout their membership?

I think that's the point of watching a thread - you will get an email every time someone posts on it.

I did it once by accident, and I couldn't find a way to 'unlatch' - I think I had to wait for the thread to die out before it stopped happening, I'm afraid.

Sure, but my point was that this is the first time since I ticked on joining that I have been notified.
For the first time, they are coming in today thick and fast!

I've been getting them today too and I've never had one before.

Found it very annoying so I've unticked the box now!
