Aldi advert with spinning wheel

I would be very happy to lose the two women, well the same woman but with a scarf round her neck, lipstick and a smile on.

Screen shot. It also comes up "divert blocked". I imagine that is my phone trying to divert.

I tried to "unsubscribe" on the aldi ad to get out of it but my phone security advised not to let it go to the website as it was known to be suspect.
If you close the ad on the x button it throws you out of gransnet.

I'm getting the Aldi one and like you say it prevents me posting, as by the time I close it down my reply has disappeared.
I had to give up on Gransnet yesterday so I can't see how it helps them 😠

Sometimes a third woman joins the group. perhaps it’s her who puts the smile on her face by putting the lipstick on. Really annoying as it stops me reading the posts.

silverlining if it is the one I think it is, that is a Gransnet pop up.

I just get the same pictures of the woman before then afyer lipstick. On every post and its getting harder to get rid by clicking the cross on the corner. I rarely wear makeup so find it confusing. I had a look at notifications but couldn’t see how to block anything. Will keep trying.

Hopefully that might work. I'm quite IT literate, but happy to admit this is not my area of expertise.

I was quite shocked to find strange sites on my notifications permissions.

Another thing to remember, is to avoid sites with http in the address, they are not secure, only visit sites with https.

Marydoll checked in settings no Aldi there so have undescribed from there news letters.

If you go into the setting on your device, go into notifications, scroll down and you can switch of notifications from individual sites.
I found that I was allowing notifications from Aldi, but I'm not any more.😉

I've had the same Whiff . Yesterday I lost 2 posts just as I was previewing them. Grr. Nothing to do with browsing history as far as I could see.

The adverts are based on your browsing history, I think. I don't think GNHQ can do much, you need to install an ad blocker.
I haven't had the Aldi advert, but keep getting one from Moda in Pelle, because I was on their site the other day and eventually succumbed and bought a pair of bling sandals. 😍
