Does GN have a programme that puts a value on different post categories?

I think you are really overestimating GN/MN tech knowledge.

It could be that a thread needs different names to send it to the top, not just one or two posters who make several comments.

I've now had a look at "Last day". What does the "bump and reset" button do? Does it bump it up to the top of everybody's list?

As fancythat says, use 'last day' or 'last hour' to see posts in the order they were posted. 'Active' seems to be the default but simply use dropdown menu to find other options.

GNHQ couldn't understand the problem when it was first pointed out, then when it was spelt out to them so that someone there finally understood, we were told that they were "working on it".

It could just be a glitch, of course. I will try last day - thank you fancythat.

That means I won't miss posts but those who still use "Active" will.

Updated posts about Coronation Street on the TV Forum rarely make it to the top!

I use Last Day instead of Active.
Last Day are in proper time order.
Not even sure what Active is, or how it is operated.

Looking down the current Active list, this seem to be happening to both 'News and Politics' and 'Games'.

That, if it is true, is an editorial decision.

I have posted three times this morning. At the time of writing two, one posted at 9.50, one at 9.51 have not appeared at all. This thread appeared immediately. The first two, not surprisingly, have not been replied to so would not/should not have move on the time line. If left much longer they may go live but never show on the "Active" timeline.

Active seems to reflect a thread with the latest post. For example the latest post was Trans teacher- but not for long.
The problem is that we are all posting on different threads at the same time so the most recent thread could change within seconds.
Whether or not GN have a hierarchy of posts to be shown -who knows. Perhaps they’ll tell us.
