Muting/ ignoring a thread

You can hide threads on here cant you.

Yes, but you have to go on the mobile site first.
Then there's an option to hide threads.

I've done it with most of the Games threads.

Oh that explains it I only ever access here on the mobile site.

I want to hide one[a reality show one as I dont want to see spoilers].
But I am on a desktop.
Is there a way to hide please? I cant find anything.

Just don’t open it or read it

If you are on a desktop you can scroll right to the bottom where it gives you the option to switch to mobile. Once you have deleted or hidden whatever you can switch back again.

I hide the games threads as soon as they appear I can’t stand them.

They keep spawning . It would be good if we could hide the whole Games forum, as they clog up Active Topics.

I just don't open them, but you can't always tell from some of the titles that that's what they are.

It really isn't difficult.

I'd agree with all the people who've said 'Just don't open it'.

OTOH, those games threads do take up a lot of the Active list; I like the suggestion of a separate tab for them.

However, I think that's been requested in the past and ignored... I doubt if there will be better luck this time

I don't find telling people "Just don’t open it or read it" extremely unhelpful.

Trouble is for me, I posted on the thread once or twice. It is on my I'm Ons which I look at regularly. There is enough written there that I can see, that are now tv spoilers, if you see what I mean, because I am one or two episodes behind.

But I did manage to hide the thread now.
[Managed to hide this one as well in the process, but this one I have now seen on the trending, so can now post on this one].

I can only do it on my phone if I use ipad i cant hide topics. I hide all games topics and religious ones.
