Why have we got an ADVERT for incontinence tablets at the top of our Active Forum list? ^

I haven't got them either at the top, just the ones trying to make me look at mumsnet "join their panel"

Utterly fed up with the stirring bowl, and the same women getting makeovers.

I haven't got these adverts. I do however, get them for QVC, Clarks and Moda in Pelle. They are linked to my browsing history.

Marketing hits every place it can now. As they now have 'trigger warnings' for just about everything perhaps we should have one for tacktless pushing of products! [I'm not being serious].
We constantly get flyers for cremations through our door, quite depressing as we're hoping for a good few years yet. [Must get one of those 'no junk mail/ no cold callers' signs. I keep meaning to, then I forget.]

Oh really, Gala.

It’s linked to mumsnet

I found the ad useful for accessing MN to read the Jiminy posts mentioned on another thread here.

I agree MOnica Ad Block is wonderful.

It didn't seem to be a conversation as it was always at the top!

NotSpaghetti Thu 30-May-24 12:03:39

I wanted to see if it was an advert or an article.

I think that advertising should at least have a different appearance.
And being there so long is annoying I feel.

JackyB Thu 30-May-24 11:40:25

I assumed it was GN-endorsed because it was in the same format as the other conversations in the list. It's been there for days, but I've never opened it.

Ha ha!
grin

Wheniwasyourage Thu 30-May-24 06:51:10

Not sure I want to know!

I’ve had one about bladder leakage at the top of the Active list. It doesn’t say what it is actually advertising though, which makes it pretty pointless really. grin

You have to open it to find out.

I used to get those annoying things blocking where I wanted to type but for some reason don't now.

MissAdventure Wed 29-May-24 18:15:34

Oh, I kind of thought I was the only one. 🙂
I'm glad you're getting them too!

BlueBelle Wed 29-May-24 18:13:58

Yes I get that too MissA same ole same ole

MissAdventure Wed 29-May-24 17:55:14

Meanwhile, I'm still getting this.

M0nica Wed 29-May-24 17:47:20

Install AdBlocker and all adverts will be a thing in the past.

I rarely if ever get ads showing on my laptop.

BlueBelle Wed 29-May-24 17:08:23

I haven’t got it
I ve got one about a French Beauty Treatment but I ve only see it since you mentioned it I hadn’t noticed it before

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 29-May-24 16:39:08

I’m glad I don’t need it either but I greatly resent the insinuation that I might.

grandtanteJE65 Wed 29-May-24 16:28:51

Well, I fortunately do not need this advert myself, but I imagine others might, and that we all are more likely to need it than bath products for infants!

These are also being advertised on Gransnet!

We fit the demographic?😁

NotSpaghetti Wed 29-May-24 14:59:59

Just that really.
Advertising "Jude".

Annoying.
Surely this is better placed somewhere else on the site if Gransnet must accept adverts.
