Kandinsky

I doubt teenagers would troll gransnet tbh.
I think most of these ridiculous ‘relationship’ threads are started by grown women ( or men )

I agree. I don't think teenagers are interested in us enough to bother. Much more likely bored adults.

Oh some of us have happy (?) memories of threads about grandchildren uniforms, footwear (especially from Shoezone) and Onesies.
Oddly enough they tended to coincide with half term.
Entertaining though - up to a point.

Thanks Elegran - there have been or two ‘adolescent posts’ recently - schools are out for Summer 😂

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and sounds like a duck - it is probably a duck.

We get all kinds of posts on GN. Sometimes someone posts about a relationship that is going wrong. There are always replies giving sensible advice, in the hope that it will be helpful to the poster - advice which the OP either takes or ignores - it is up to them.

But occasionally, the OP's posts just don't hit the right note, and as the thread goes on, it seems that the problem may not be quite as described, in fact it may not exist at all, except as a story made up by the OP for their own purposes. This often takes place at the start of the school holidays, when a lot of adolescents are at a loose end and looking for ways to entertain themselves.

When that happens, the action to take is to report it to Gransnet HQ, who have ways to check on the authenticity of the post and the poster. They can resolve the situation remarkably fast once they are alerted.
