Initially to Manston in Kent, a secure site, for security and identity checks, it’s a former RAF site.

About 5 minutes drive from my house!!

They are driven past our homeless people freezing and starving on the streets to nice warm hotels paid for out of our taxes that I would rather be spent on schools, health, homeless hostels etc...

It's been in the news... they are taken by coach to hotels that the government has done deals with, all paid for our of our taxes. Britannia Hotels are the latest chain of hotels to do these deals.

Yes, Britannia Hotels, with the reputation of being the worst chain of hotels in the UK. The shareholders are laughing all the way to the bank.

This is not a thread to discuss whether they should be here or not, or how they got here, this has been covered several times before. What puzzles me is where they are taken. Some weeks the best part of a thousand arrive, either on inflatables or having been picked up by our border control boats. Where on earth do they go? What an absolute nightmare for the people in charge of finding them accommodation. I can find no information on line. Does anyone know? I am just curious of the logistics of finding endless bed and board for so many.
