Gransnet frozen on phone.

Just got rid of the Error 400 problem by clearing my history. I was nervous about doing it (being a technonumpty) but all is well now on my laptop.

Still occasionally freezing and scrolling down to a blank screen; it's very hit and miss, must be a problem with the site, we can't all have dodgy phones!

Yes, I keep getting a blank screen, and it has just frozen again, but I managed to get back in.

Do any techies know why this has been happening or can GN shed any light on this??

I'm also having problems on my android since yesterday. Not so much as freezing but scrolling down to see further posts i have a blank screen. The phone is also being exceptionally slow on all apps.

Yes, sometimes the screen freezes but also when I try to scroll down comments the screen goes blank.

I’ve deleted all my history on my I pad and I can now access Gransnet- hurrah!

I often lose messages or send them accidentally on my phone .

I also have Error 400 appearing when viewing posts on my laptop. I think that is really just me, so need to clear the cache according to Google.

I can’t get it on my computer either; get the Error 400 too. I eventually managed to get back on via Google chrome on my iPad but no idea how I did it. Got locked out of another forum, too.

Freezes on my Android

It is fine on Kindle Fire tablet.

Thought it was just me, relief that others have the problem.
Have cleared my cache, rebooted my phone, even removed and reinstalled the widget and it didn't help. Still freezes if I go in via screen widget.
Can get in now if I type site name into Google and all seems ok.

I cleared my cache - it didn't help. So I opened GN in a private window.

Happened to me on I Pad, I had to go into settings and clear Google history. Then restart, all works now, obvs!

How do you open it in a private window??

Am finding it really irritating. Just worded what I thought was a good reply on another thread and the screen froze so I didn’t get to post it. I can only use my iPhone because my laptop is not working great.

It's been happening to me over the last few days. Thought it was my phone as I checked on Google if the site was down, it said it wasn't. Can't always get on and when I do it freezes.

I don't use the phone but the same happened on my laptop. Can't remember exactly when but within the past 10 days. Also, around about the same time, both my computers did a hop, skip and jump to Yahoo. Have neveer used it and don't want to. I could access virtually nothing unless Yahoo wanted me to. Engineer came along and managed to fix it. He could not explain why, unless it was a hack.

Fortunately, he brought back my old laptop, into which he had put a new hard drive. This works. My other machine switched back to Yahoo two days ago. (Have not yet tested the desktop).

I had the error 400 message last weekend, and emailed Gransnet. I was looking at a thread, tried to access a different one, and from then on every time I tried to access I got the error message. On Gransnet admin’s advice I cleared my cookies, and it did resolve. I think it was on Saturday evening, if anybody can date their error message appearing to the same time?

It’s been fine on my iPad and iPhone.

extratine you may need to clear your cookies when I got that 400 message I followed googles advice and all was well

I wonder if Gransnet has done something to the site??
Seems odd.
