Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about the laundry schedule you have in your household. Are you very particular about washing your clothes and have a load for every colour imaginable, or do you just go for lights and darks? Maybe you have assigned days for certain washes - is Sunday sheets day and Tuesday for towels? Has your laundry schedule changed a lot as you’ve got older?

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio have to say: “Fairy Non Bio is good for anyone who wants a softer, more sensitive wash (that still leaves clothes clean!). Its gentle formula promises to be kind to both your clothes and your skin, and so it’s suitable for everyone”

So, whatever your household washing schedule, post it below for a chance to win a £300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Monday is a general colours quick wash at 30, Wednesday is bedding at 40, Thursday is towels and tea towels at 60. Any whites or delicates (we don't really have many of them), I'll either pop on for a low temp quick wash or handwash whenever needed. We use non-bio because we're a bit itchy and scratchy!

Daphne01 Fri 27-Jan-17 00:58:59

As and when it's needed, darks and whites separate. Towels without fabric conditioner too

glennamy Fri 27-Jan-17 01:34:21

The usual white and colours, hot & 30/40 respectively. Usually spread over 4 days i.e every other day for both...

Not so organised as most, only being the two of us I do the washing when the laundry basket is full, usually just finished a load when my hubby calls down to me, do you want my dirty washing grrrrrr !!!! I seperate the lights from the darks , boil wash towels and tea towels. One sock always manages to escape and land on the floor beside the wash basket!! The bedding once a week ! And bath mats etc once a week ( I love watching my washing blowing outside weather permitting. )

I have no particular routine, I wash whites or coloureds when I have a full machine load. When I have a very small amount of whites usually once a week I do the bedding, sheets and duvet sets, singles one week doubles the next. I switch the machine on first thing and then I shower and have breakfast.

alabaster Fri 27-Jan-17 06:43:29

Schedule???? Don't you just do the washing when it is needed?

Roraima Fri 27-Jan-17 06:59:49

Fridays is for trousers shirts and underwear. Saturday household and bathroom stuff and mondays sheets and pillowcases. Except for Mondays I don't use long washing or hot just 20 minutes in cold water.

janeyf Fri 27-Jan-17 07:01:08

I do a machine wash Thursday nights so that it is dry by the weekend. I do a further wash at the weekend for duvet covers and sheets

liquorice Fri 27-Jan-17 07:02:48

All the dirty washing in our house goes straight into the washing machine until it is jam packed full. Then I separate the lights and darks and do a fast wash on both because none of our stuff ever gets really dirty. I have no particular day/time for doing the washing, it just depends what's there and could be once or twice a week. Once the washing is done, it's on with the central heating and I load the radiators up with clothes to get them dry quickly.

There are three of us in our family, and my husband and son are always tinkering with oily machinery or out in the garden, coming in covered in mud.

Therefore, there is always lots of washing to do! I separate dark, heavy clothing such as jeans and overalls, dark clothing and lighter, more delicate items, doing separate washes for each, giving a longer wash for difficult stained items.

I usually wash at 40 degrees, using biological washing powder and adding Vanish stain remover, otherwise the stains refuse to shift.

For delicates, I prefer Fairy non bio, as I have a slight problem with psoriasis, and this product doesn't aggravate the problem.

I always sort through the laundry basket on an evening after putting on my pjs and get a load done ready to peg out early next morning. We do the bedding once a week and the towels every couple of days. You'd think we wouldn't have much now there's just the two of us but there still seems to be a lot. Although what often happens is that there isn't quite enough for a full load for a couple of days because there's a few whites, a few colours, a few darks, one wooly jumper, then suddenly there's four loads all at once and this usually happens when it's bed-changing day too lol.

I have used non-bio powders for years due to it sensitive nature and always had excellent results from hand washing to 60 degrees in the washer.
The washer is on every 2/3 days now there is only the two of us items are not dirty as such just need refreshing really. All bedding is done Sat/Sun with bottom sheet changes mid-week along with bath towels.
Fairy products have been used for handwashing of underwear and delicates for as long as I can remember I don't think I could name another brand I would be comfortable with for delicates.

I usually wash a load every morning if there is a full loads worth in the laundry basket. I wash lights and darks seperately and wash the dog's towels in a load of their own to prevent dog hairs and bleeding colours. Bedding gets washed once we've stripped the bed.

BeHappy Fri 27-Jan-17 08:27:39

Washes are done around 4-5 times a week and seperate into darks & lights at about 30 degrees smile

lizd31 Fri 27-Jan-17 08:29:18

I don't have any particular day for washing clothes usually twice a week & I wash my bedding in 2 separate loads, as I have bedspreads, I always do this on a Tuesday when my cleaner comes to strip the bed. I'm disabled so can't manage it myself

falconer Fri 27-Jan-17 08:44:50

Everything in two loads at the weekend. Thank Goodness the kids have gone!

samcornfield Fri 27-Jan-17 08:54:24

We wash clothes every evening. The washing machine probably does 20 loads per week. We do wash whites separately but everything else goes in together. My motto is also if it will fit through the door of the machine then it is washable! I haven't ruined anything yet.

alsproject Fri 27-Jan-17 08:56:07

We do a load almost every day as we have a small machine

hiddenmichelle Fri 27-Jan-17 09:34:03

No particular routine - just when it needs doing or when I want something in particular that needs washing - have a very handy 15 minute cycle if not that dirty too which is very handy!

sophie56 Fri 27-Jan-17 09:46:31

I generally do laundry twice a week. As I am lucky enough to have solar panels I try to do it when the sun is shining so I follow the local weather forecast avidly. I always save up tea towels to wash on their own. I rarely iron and cheat by using bedspreads over my duvets. I buy whatever washing liquid is on offer and don't bother with conditioners.

bobble5366 Fri 27-Jan-17 09:52:14

As my 2 grown up sons are still at home, I need a routine, and my 25 year old still has sensitive skin, I use fairy non bio for his bed linen and shirts which I wash every fortnight, I have used fairy since my son was a baby, I love the smell and confidence I have that his eczema will not flare up. For the rest of my family I sometimes use my fairy non bio, or buy what ever is on offer at the suspermarket, I wash every other day, and more in summer when I can get bedding and towels on the line. I use my quick wash cycle for towels and other bedding, and for underwear a 60 degree wash which I tend to tumble dry. For my sons white cotton shirts I wash at the end of the week on a cotton wash, put them on hangers and often this way they don't always need ironing.

lornajk Fri 27-Jan-17 10:00:12

I wash about 4 times a week I guess, a towel wash, a bedding wash, and then dark and light clothes is about average. Only ever wash at 40 degrees. Have used Fairy since my son was little due to his sensitive skin, and have never had any problems at all. The only washing problems for me are missing socks! I currently have three odd ones that don't match up with any others, but it can be more than that at times. Definitely one of life's mysteries :-)

Merton Fri 27-Jan-17 10:01:30

I have a secret, I rarely do the laundry, that's Mr M domain. However I do know the routine, pillows, sheets, duvet cover and bath towels on a Saturday, handwash white underwear Saturday morning, drip dry outside, dark undies on a Sunday. Flannels, towels and tea towels in a separate wash, work dresses are all separate on a wool cycle, his work clothes twice a week on a dark wash along with casual rambling trousers. Cleaning cloths on their own same with dogs beds. All small loads, and washing several times a week, non bio for every wash except white sheets.

rosie154 Fri 27-Jan-17 10:05:23

I do the laundry as needed, no schedule. Always do whites separately. Use a liquid detergent and low temperature, air dry.
