Our extension means our garden seat no longer catches the last rays of the sun. After much 'will we/won't we' we have decided to move the seat which means moving a small tree, our pergola and umpteen plants. It will take time!

Our triangular garden used to be just grass and trees with lots of room for the children to play. As they grew up I added large scalloped beds around the edges and begged, borrowed and bought flowering plants and shrubs. Eventually I was given the greenhouse that I so dearly wanted and grew most of my bedding and perennials from seed. The hedges were too much work so last year we removed them and built a fence. Big plus factor was the amount of space gained. We dug a small wildlife pond, allowing the grass around it to grow wild, introduced plugs of wild flowers, frogspawn and pond beasties. The birds loved it and we added bird boxes, one with a camera in it and bug boxes. This year we have started a new vegetable plot and the bottom of the triangle is being fenced off to provide a large composting area. All going well the fence will be finished today, the leaf bin filled with all the leaves I collected in the autumn to make leafmold and a new compost heap started. Now I need to get out there because this work is not going to be done by magic!

I don't have a garden, sadly, only a yard - but I still like to have it looking beautiful in the summer. I have lots of pots which I fill with colourful bedding plants, as well as hanging baskets dotted around. It brings the place back to life after the dreariness of the winter!

Two rather biggies for once. After putting up with a front lawn full of weeds, moss and even ant hills for many years we agreed to returf it last spring, only to find that it's hard to prevent weeds and ant-hills from re-appearing. I've given it one dose of lawn treatment/weedkiller, and we'll have to keep on top of it. Also last spring I planted the only thing my daughter had wanted for Christmas - a batch of raspberry plants - autumn-flowering ones which don't produce fruit till the 2nd year. This is that all-important year, and what do we have? the only thing rasps can't stand which is a near-drought, so they are getting a regular watering. It would be nice to have to worry about how to stake them and protect from birds, but that's something to look forward to hopefully!

I watch gardening programmes, and feel almost paralysed by the creative link that I just don't seem to have! Is it just me???

A big tidy up, so many weeds and grass in my borders and overgrown trees and bushes. I would love to grow vegetables but struggle with finding the time. My ultimate wish would be to take up the paths and so called patio, which is just slabs with weeds growing through and replace it with a proper laid one or even redesign the garden so its in a sunnier postition

I've recently moved into a victorian end-terrace with a rather run down concrete garden! I'm planning on creating a decking area and repairing the broken concrete. When all the ground work is done I'm going to go crazy with some raised flowerbeds, fairy lights and lovely garden furniture to complete my perfect oasis!

As I was having cancer teatment last year my garden rather went to pot. This year I plan to clear out some of my beds and replant so this voucher would be great. Need to put in more shrubs and creat a herb garden as I use alot of these for cooking

Have a small garden with lawn which is kept tidy, lawn grass by my husband. There is a little elevated garden where we can put some veggies and a rectangular piece with strawberries which is coming on nicely. But the veg patch nothing yet because of the funny weather we were having. Sewn some seeds. Few tomatoes are appearing and I wonder when to sew them outside . They are still tiny and might get eaten by slugs. The broad beans are coming up great. May be it's time to get them out in the open ground as they are still in the container. The front garden we have roses, tulips and few other flowers. Love them.

My garden slopes down to a brook. It's nice to sit and hear the water trickling past on a warm summer day. I am going to buy some new seating so that I can enjoy the scents and colours of the new perennials I'm planting this spring.

I really enjoy being out in my garden and feel very lucky to have a big one
My goal for this summer is to have my hedge taken out so I can have a fence put up (Only because my hedge is tipping over due to being wind forced!)
I am going to have a patio by my summer house so my family and I can enjoy our BBQ'S there! smile

I love cooking with herbs so I am planning to grow as many as I can - love the taste of thyme, there are so many different varieties to choose from. Think the term herb garden might be too pretentious - they will be grown to be picked and eaten!

My garden goals for the summer are to plant up a 1 acre plot that I own in Devon, with flowers and edible plants trees and shrubs to create a wildlife garden and natural haven to attract, feed and protect native wildlife, bees, birds, butterflies, bats and mammals. And I've named my project The Bees Knees. :-)

lee8000 Fri 28-Apr-17 11:08:52

this summer i aim to refresh the pond; put up more bird boxes; treat the fences and clear out the shed

jowatkins Fri 28-Apr-17 11:59:25

I want to clear an area covered in brambles and create a fruit area, growing raspberries, gooseberries and blackcurrants. I will probably need a brushcutter to clear it as it has been covered in brambles for years.

hannafore Fri 28-Apr-17 12:02:56

I am in the process of creating a wildlife garden with lots of birdboxes, wildflowers,a wildlife pond and scrubby areas for insects and having just started we have had evidence of hedgehogs which has really been very encouraging. We also don't use any chemicals including slug pellets which helps protect the wildlife.

I have an upstairs flat with a balcony and beautiful views over the town and hills beyond. It is in dire need of some TLC! A lick of paint, some hanging plants and a little bench would make it attractive to sit out there. A £300 Homebase voucher would cover the cost and I would be a happy bunny!

nabob Fri 28-Apr-17 14:28:56

I would love £300 in vouchers as I basically need to replace my pot plants. Some of them have died over the winter and others are just plain old and ugly. I would buy a pair of box trees. An olive tree and some gooseberry plants. Also need a new watering can and secateurs.
I think I have a busy time ahead of me!

chrissie13 Fri 28-Apr-17 16:18:59

We have a new space to fill, so we are going to buy lots of now plants and flowers to go there.

vickysmum123 Fri 28-Apr-17 17:29:41

My garden goal is to move the pond (fish & water lilies as well) and to finish the patio with a mixture of pots and plants x

Sunshine9 Fri 28-Apr-17 17:48:30

My garden is a green square with a rotting shed in one corner and a overgrown bush in the other. We have removed the bush and are planning to build a patio there as that's the sun point in the garden.
We are also replacing the shed and buying new garden furniture we also hope to get a BBQ / pizza oven and just make the garden look more asetically pleasing

Tizliz Fri 28-Apr-17 18:11:42

My goal is to finally get rid of the moss. Garden is nice and green but it is not grass
