I almost felt sorry for Scotland, they did deserve to win....All down to next week now and Scotland will have to attempt to beat us!

DS2 has just rung up to gloat. Though part Scots, he considers himself English - though his partner is Irish, so split loyalties in that household. So now I have to switch my support to England. Poor old Scots - if only they had managed to hold off Argentina...

I can't honestly, even say, that the best team on the day won ...it's about time England upped their game ...this is the World Cup for heaven's sake!!
I think World Cup history tells us that England almost always give their supporters the heebie-jeebies in the early stages and get into their stride in the knock-out rounds. Let's hope that history repeats itself. See - that's me being magnanimous in defeat...

Lovely rugby from Ireland on Sunday and a terrific result! Annobel - the thought of Brian O'Driscoll carrying off the World Cup would make my day but I guess stranger things have happened? Lets get next week against Wales over first. As for all the 'hype' about Mike Tindall and others misbehaving - what a lot of emotional damage the media can cause! Lets just hear about the Rugby and support the teams.

Watched a fantastic game of rugby....and then England played! Well I say played ...
Well done Wales and Ireland a thoroughly enjoyable game. I would have been embarrassed had England gone through as they were a total shambles.
