A thread for those watching "track and field" as the Americans call it. Suggest if you are following boxing or swimming you start a separate thread (please)
Exciting to see a new young British (18 year old) sprinter,

Good idea.

But which thread, Jess - you've posted two. I'll be joining you, but in the interests of sanity, get rid of one please. smile

The other one! This one is just for saying what a good idea! wink

This one is, I hope, for discussing the ins and outs of the UK team's chances and performance in running , jumping and throwing. Thrills and spills.
The other one, bumped by me, is general Olympics.
There are dozens of Olympic sports that will be running in parallel so I am hoping that there will be several threads and we won't be trying to discuss swimming medals on the same thread as show jumping events. Or security, travel, Boris being rude etc. Does that make sense?

You started one called Olympic Athletics Thread as well as this one, and in addition to the other one that is for general purposes. That's what butty means. Mind you, The Thread has done a disappearing act for the moment hmm

Good news that Dai Green is going to be team captain. Bless him. Sounded very worried about the fact he will have to make a speech. Bless his little Welsh socks.
