Did you hear he was out until 3 in the morning the night after his 100m final with the Swedish volleyball team?!

It's completely ridiculous, how can this man be so much faster than everyone else?

I suppose we'll find out when he runs the 200m tomorrow how much it's affected him...

Don't think Bolt is so very thin! Lots of muscle there - he probably has a big steak for breakfast. Sprinters aren't as skinny as the long distance runners. I suspect that Bolt would make two of Mo!

Great athletes, wherever they are from, should be celebrated...that is the spirit of the Olympics.. it is great to be a winner but true sports fans recognise and applaud the talent of their peers. Bolt and Farah are mates too!

he is undoubtably an amazing and entertaining athlete but i would love to bring him home and feed him stew and dumplings for a few weeks! i realize he has to be lean but he,s very very thin.

Oh we will. I'm looking forward to the day when she takes me to lunch!

POGS Sat 11-Aug-12 22:23:23

Have a lovely day together.

My GD is 20 and she's crazy about him too! I'm taking her to lunch tomorrow so will no doubt hear all about him again!

POGS Sat 11-Aug-12 21:35:39

My GD is 6 and is Bolt crazy, don't know where it comes from.

She was in the back of her mums car when the radio presenter said "Well, will Bolt do his magic tonight".

She shouted out "He does magic as well, wow". Bless them.

Well said *Dumpling" joyful is the right word for Usain. I love the clowning for the camera and the heartfelt gestures of silent prayer. David Rudisha was delightful in his own way. And who will forget in a hurry Kirani James swopping vest numbers with Oscar 'Blade Runner' Pistorius in the semi final. All memorable moments that lift the spirits. Yay for London Olympics flag

Not that I'm anti USA but they do rather dominate and it's nice to see such seemingly effortless talent from such a joyful person. And Jamaica is sort of family.

NfkDumpling Thu 09-Aug-12 22:29:36

Nor is he from the USA!

Nonu Thu 09-Aug-12 22:16:10

But that is the way things happen . smile

Annobel Thu 09-Aug-12 21:40:52

Wonderful, but I wish they hadn't run it on the same evening as the best 800m race ever, according to Steve Cram, and he should know. David Rudisha broke the world record which no-one else has in the athletics programme. What a shame he was overshadowed by the Bolt and Blake show.

Nonu Thu 09-Aug-12 21:14:10

What a sensational performance , the island will be rocking ,

whenim64 Thu 09-Aug-12 21:11:11

Amazing runner, Bolt, and so is Blake. Why shouldn't we applaud his achievements? smile

Annobel Thu 09-Aug-12 20:19:39

We applaud greatness even when it's not British! My GD has a major crush on him and if I was 20, I probably would too.

Nonu Thu 09-Aug-12 20:13:47

Are you having a laugh ? what are u like ? sound a bit of a t__T to me

Ian42 Thu 09-Aug-12 20:06:23

Why so much support for Usain Bolt, he's not even British.

Nonu Wed 08-Aug-12 20:27:48

You go Usain , you really are the business , BIG TIME [flaG]

whitewave Tue 07-Aug-12 15:36:12

oh that last post should have been on the fasting thread - sorry

whitewave Tue 07-Aug-12 15:32:18

Why is it that when I look in the mirror I see someone a bit portly but not too gross on the other hand when I see photoas of myself they are huge?

Nonu Tue 07-Aug-12 15:22:46

You set me off again, can"t stop laughin

Annobel Tue 07-Aug-12 15:17:29

On a 'clothes optional' beach in NZ, I realised that the ones who take their clothes off are the ones you'd prefer to see with their clothes on.

whitewave Tue 07-Aug-12 14:34:28

Funny really when you live in a place you don't often go to the touristy places but if we have friends to visit we take them around and quite enjoy it - like you nonu we haven't been to the nudist beach it is too stoney and not such a nice beach as further along the coast.

Nonu Tue 07-Aug-12 14:31:52

Dunno ! but hand on heart I just don"t get indigestion , I will say though if I drink my coffee without sugar I have been known to have a little heartburn, so guess what !!!!!!!!! I love Brighton we used to go from time to time , but did not go on Nudie beaches , will keep my bits and pieces to myself thanks . Don"t want to frighten the horses . Tee Hee. blush

whitewave Tue 07-Aug-12 14:24:12

Blimey nonu what is your secret? If I eat after say about 7pm I get terrible indigestion when I go to bed. I do still stay out late and toddle on the next day though but not so often - probably because there are not so many places to go at our age I would look very strange in some of the clubs here in Brighton.
