All though I'm a racing fan, I'm not particularly keen on the Grand National, so was very pleased that all 39 runners made it safely home

Full marks to the jockeys that decided to pull up, I'm sure the trainers and owners will respect your decision.

BTW since when did they sing the National Anthem at the National? Were any royalty present? Seems a bit silly when it's well on into the afternoon's racing and can't be helping the jockeys' or horses' nerves.
