I juts wanted to tell you about this exciting new sport. In my voluntary role I am introducing this to a local Par 3 golf course which is grossly underused and expensive to run. It opens tomorrow. What I wanted to tell you about is FootGolf itself. It sounds off but its a very accessible sport that the whole family can play and its opening up all over the country. I thought you might enjoy it with the family over the coming Bank Holiday and the school holidays- no special equipment needed just a football and trainers. Its an officially recognised and regulated sport - all the details can be found on www.UKFootGolf. com.

They have started this recently at a local council-run golf course. There was a bit of argument about the dress code to start with, but all is settled now. Apparently it has saved the club, but my goodness, the amount of litter has increased! I filled a bin bag just around the car park yesterday.
