I wonder how many of you have seen this. It's so funny, Judy Murray is a good sport!

Brilliant, loved it, thank you MiniMoon ?

I saw it and thought it was very poor taste. It did not seem like a comedy stint - no explanation and until I saw comments I thought it was real. Maybe I am stupid! I thought it poor taste as it could be viewed by someone who is the child made to feel like a black sheep in the family and cause severe upset to them.

gringrin

Hilarious! Thanks MiniMoon

Excellent! Judy was absolutely dead pan. That actor has a good resemblance to Andy and Jamie.

Pittcity Sat 06-Jul-19 08:27:45

Judy has said on Twitter that a lot of people believed it was true!

Anniebach Sat 06-Jul-19 08:36:40

No ?

BlueBelle Sat 06-Jul-19 08:37:26

I must have a very different sense of humour because I didn’t see anything remotely funny in it not even a smile why is it funny ?
I do see how it could be sad though because there are many children in this role who would relate to it

Callistemon Sat 06-Jul-19 11:03:24

BlueBelle I had a complete sense of humour failure too!
Anyone who has a grandchild who has an extremely talented sibling would cringe at this. You want to praise the talented child but not at the expense of the other one.
Not funny at all.

mumofmadboys Sat 06-Jul-19 11:05:05

I didn't think it was funny either!

SirChenjin Sat 06-Jul-19 11:17:15

I thought it was hilarious grin So much comedy could be construed as offensive or upsetting if you analyse each character and situation in detail

Anniebach Sat 06-Jul-19 11:49:28

Suppose Chaplin’ ‘The Tramp’ is offensive to gentlemen of the road , ‘Matilda’ distressing for children starting school ,

Callistemon Sat 06-Jul-19 12:07:19

I do find lots of things funny - just not this.
It wasn't offensive as such but just cringeworthy and, unfortunately, true for many children even if it was meant as a spoof.

SirChenjin Sat 06-Jul-19 12:30:05

That’s comedy for you - what one person finds hilarious others don’t. Life would be very boring if we all laughed at the same things.

Callistemon Sat 06-Jul-19 12:31:44

I can laugh at most things - including myself!

But a child's hurt is not a laughing matter.

SirChenjin Sat 06-Jul-19 12:41:17

In this case I disagree obviously - which illustrates my previous point.

aggie Sat 06-Jul-19 12:49:04

As I am the talentless cack handed one of 3 sisters I laughed at this smile

Anniebach Sat 06-Jul-19 12:52:44

Reminds me of playing rounders with my sisters and parents, I was the only left hander ?

MawBroonsback Sat 06-Jul-19 12:55:43

Callistemon there is no third brother you know, no actual children were hurt in the making of the video! grin

SirChenjin Sat 06-Jul-19 13:01:36

You mean Duncan isn’t real Maw?? shock

Callistemon Sat 06-Jul-19 13:02:50

I know that MawBroonsback!

It's still not funny.

BlueBelle Sat 06-Jul-19 14:36:53

I agree callistemom and mumofmadbiys Forget the hurt (cruel) bit, I really can’t see anything to make me chuckle I do have a good sense of humour and often laugh to tears at some videos (I also cry at others) but this just left me thinking ‘what the xxxx’
Ah well takes all sorts (glad I m not alone)

Jane10 Sat 06-Jul-19 14:44:33

I couldn't do any form of sport, couldn't hit a ball or a shuttlecock or run or jump. It was OK. I was the one with the glasses my pal was the fat one. That was life!
This video could be quite encouraging for less talented family members of superachievers - it shows that they're not alone!
