Will you be watching?

I have just seen a picture of my DS and family, all dressed up and off to see the match - not all wearing the same coloursgrin.

All but American family awake now. Australian family too nervous to make predictions. Does anyone on here have thoughts about the final score?

How fantastic so proud of this team.
These women are a amazing role models to our younger generation.
They can win this.

I was out but am home for the 2nd half. Good innit?
BTW there has been a Gransnet sweepstake since the first match

Smileless2012 Wed 16-Aug-23 12:23:19

Keeping the faith that it will 2:1 to England OR we'll win on penalties.

Good game so far, is it just but aren’t the women players much more sporting than most of the men? Accepting the refs decision and holding their hands up to bad play.

Someone was saying on the radio that people are enjoying going to women's matches more because the anger isn't there.

I love watching women's football. Clean, fast and you don't get the falling about that you get with the men's game. I am watching an excellent match at the moment. Come on England,

Oh my goodness I’m so excited……1 up and bring on second half. Footie fan at all times, now it’s bonus times, ladies and World Cup!

Yes I’m watching. Apart from the goal, fairly even I think. Can they hang on to the end? Fingers crossed.

Yes, I’m watching and feel a bit sad that my daughter will be rooting for Australia now.

My son is doing his bit and supporting The Lionesses, DIL and GD have always support the Matildas. GS was spit - they all have duel nationality. He eventually went with his mum and sister, which seems right to me.

I have just had a video from their seats. It looks amazing. I'm not a team game enthusiast. Generally, if you want to win in these things I'd rather let you. But I am so excited for them.

timetogo2016 Wed 16-Aug-23 11:41:11

Best goal i have seen in years, puts the male team to shame imo.
Come on England.

Soniah Wed 16-Aug-23 11:40:19

Smileless2012 Wed 16-Aug-23 11:37:53
