Norwich on one side, Manchester United on the other, both loyal to their respective home towns. This is more of a rugby and rowing town but football is still the topic of ‘bins day’ chats.
My dad supported Newcastle, his nearly home town, and my brother when he was a boy chose to support Sunderland, 300 miles from his home town, just to be cantankerous 🤣
My one neighbour is a 97 year old widow. I don't think she's into football! The other side are a young Muslim couple. I don't think they like football.
You don't have to comment on on a thread if you find the subject stupid, same as the Christmas thread, just move on to another thread you find more interesting
My cousin lives in Sunderland and is a mad Sunderland supporter as is the rest of the family, her partner supports Newcastle lol. Personally I prefer rugby. Sorry slightly off topic .
It is however permitted to have an opinion about the subject or the logic of question. Mine is 1) why assume everybody supports a football team 2) ask me by all means but 3) where do any of my neighbours come into it?
I am from Liverpool and don't like football so don't support anyone. There is so much competition between the supporters of the two home teams, Liverpool and Everton, that I am glad I don't support either. The first question I am asked is 'who do you support?' In Liverpool you don't even have to state what your talking about, when I say I don't like football, then I am looked at as if I have two heads!
