I couldn’t stay awake and in a way I am pleased as the tension would have been too much but also sorry that I missed it.
First thing on waking was to check and I am delighted for the players and the fans.

Well, I looked up the result on waking, thinking 'I wonder how many goals England lost by', only to see the amazing result. What a thriller! Well done to those who managed to stay awake to watch it. Whatever happens in the quarter finals and beyond, England will always be remembered for this game!,

The latest of a very long line of Trump's inability to keep his nose out of things that should not concern him, is the re-instatement of Falorin Balogun, a striker in the US soccer team.

Balogun was issued with a red card, which would normally mean he would not be allowed to play in the next game but Trump has intervened.

Eleven other players, from various nations, have been issued with red cards during the World Cup and none of them has been re-instated.

I couldnt hack yet another referee decision.
After osme previous ones.
After was it a yellow card for Kane?
After a penalty to Mexico that they one, after 2 out of the 3 commentators thought should not have been given.
After a red card given to an England player.
I had had enough!

And guessed correctly by the sound of things, there was more drama to come.

As MG55 says, glad I stayed up for what I saw.

I will watch the rest of the match in my own time and knowing everything will be fine!

Most of my family could not stay up to watch it because of school and/or work so it was good to share it with you.
Two of them are going to watch the full no-spoiler re-run match later after work. They know the score but none of the various ups and downs.

The red card player can't play in the next match.
Harry didn't get a yellow card, but a penalty was awarded to Mexico because his foot scuffed the sole of the player's boot.
Norway shouldn't be too bad a threat. Of course they have Haarland but English players are well used to him because he is at Man City.
