Any tennis fans? Especially Wimbledon?

Sad to see our female number one not competing due to injury! Emma R did so well at Queens.

Still, this week we do have a number of Brits and a good few wildcards.

Will you be watching and who are you supporting?

I’ll def be watching all our girls and boys and the Williams Sisters who are playing (as wild cards) in the doubles.

Might have to turn off the volume if there is too much “grunting” on court, drives me nuts!

Fantastic match to end a fantastic fortnight.
Thanks for company here, even the naysayers who just make me laugh grin

What a fantastic match, a proper Wimbledon final! Well done to both players and although I'd have loved Zverev to win, Sinner was the better player. Loved every minute and so pleased that Zverev got back into the game after losing the second set. He did himself credit!

👍👍👍🎾🎾🎾

I'm with Bellasnana in supporting Sinner.
From what I've read Zverev is not a nice person.

Yes, a great match. Well done Sinner 👍
Goodbye to Wimbledon for another year 🎾🎾

What a match! Such a good win for Sinner, I was so touched when he went over to Zverev after his fall. A worthy winner.
No excuse not to do the housework now!

Yes really enjoyed that. Great final 🎾

Looking forward to getting together again next year! Whatever are we going to do next week…?!

What a fantastic two weeks it has been and I'm very happy that Jannik Sinner won today 🏆

Another fan here who loved Wimbledon fortnight. Tonight's final was a great match and I think the best man won. Zverev was beaten by himself i think letting his loss get to him more than Sinner who seems to keep his cool.

As for next week, I have lots of gardening to catch up on. Not to mention housework and craft projects. All I've done is a granny square crochet blanket, nice and easy to pick up and put down when watching tv.

Looking forward to next year’s Wimbledon already, but it’s not good to wish our life away, is it?!

Thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of weeks culminating in a fabulous men’s final. A great excuse to sit down and enjoy the tennis as the afternoons have been too hot to think about doing anything.

Brilliant final. I really enjoyed AA's commentary. His explanation of strategy and techniques were really insightful, not for everyone perhaps but I really enjoy the more in depth analysis.

Thank you so much for this thread and all the contributions from kindred spirits!
See you next year.

It has seen me through the heatwave - great excuse to loll in front of the TV with the fans on!

I don’t need an excuse!😂😂
There’s lots of tennis to watch before next Wimbledon though! Coming up there’s Montreal, Cincinnati and the US Open in New York. I shall be avidly awaiting the return of Alcaraz. 🎾

I will be watching all of those Bellasnana providing they are broadcast on the tennis channel. I like to follow some of the top players throughout the year. My favourite is the Frenchman Ugo Humbert who sadly got knocked out in the first round of Wimbledon. I like him because he keeps his temper and shows genuine enthusiasm without being OTT.

I enjoy watching Wimbledon when I can. It’s always interesting to see a mix of experienced players and newer faces competing. It’s unfortunate when injuries prevent players from taking part, but it also creates opportunities for others. Hopefully we’ll see some good matches and competitive tennis throughout the tournament.
