Has anybody got any recommendations for good slippers? I keep buying them for £5 or 5€ and they keeping falling apart after a few weeks. I think I need to spend more (!), but not sure what to buy. I like the mules sort as my feet get hot, but they also need to stay on my feet when I climb up and down all the flights of stairs in this house...

Hotter. www.hottershoes.com/en/Womens-Shoes/Womens-Slippers?currentCategoryId=10161 Nice looking and supportive.

And cosy! But I must admit that I like the furry bootees I got from the much maligned M&S. Wearing them in the evening seems to help prevent the cramps that I tend to get at night.

Lands End do memory foam ones that can go in the washer. M&S used to do them too but not sure they still do.

glass! The little minx! shock

All slippers wash you know. Even the ones that don't say it.

I've got some Totes memory foam slippers which are sooooo comfy and I can nip outside with them as they have sturdy soles. Can't beat Crocs for being all-purpose, though.

Well you all just reminded me that I have a pair of crocs with sheepskin linings somewhere! I have a feeling I stopped wearing them because I kept getting a mild electric shock though....

I love Fitflops, bit cool in the winter but they don't rub your bunions!

I've got the shoes (fitflops) Can walk miles in them.

Mamie Thu 13-Oct-11 11:21:05

Yes I agree I am wearing fitflops at the moment. They will not be warm enough in winter though......

Crocs with sheepskin linings! From the croc shop? I'd love that; I wear mine for as long as possible but do have cold feet, so these would be perfect.

Mamie Thu 13-Oct-11 12:24:59

No not the croc shop, I think I bought them from a cheapo sports shop for about £8... The linings are hard to get out and wash though...

Grannylin I wear my fitflops right through the winter but wear them with socks with toes in, they do look rather odd but my home my rules.

I put a pair of crocs in the dishwasher and they shrank! Possibly had it on the hottest setting. blush

I am wearing fitflop slipper, they have sheepskin inside and really warm and cosy, with a good hard wearing sole. I hate slippers with 'slippery' soles, as there are a lot of stairs in my house and I dread the thought of sliding down them.
