Do I cut my hair short(er)?

After alway's long hair down the middle of my back my DD suggested that I have a complete restyle and go short,I've alway's had long hair and even after chemo treatment was fortunate to have it grow back in reasonable condition,I wear it in a plait or scrunched up with a big clip or in a pony-tail,am at a loss as to what to do and if I went for a complete change of style would I regret it
