I Have to admit that at this time of the year I DO like a bright lipstick.
think it gives one a lift . My colour at the moment is Estee Lauder, "Fireball"
Which might give you an indication of my taste .

janerowena the green lipstick comes out on me a fairly vivid pink [which I like] and the white one a pale pink, nice, but more useful for Summer than now. I will try the other colours in due course.

No I didn't because I found a seller on ebay who had singles of the darkish green that is exactly the same as the one I love, so I am just intrigued to know what the others are like. Same price and no postage, too. I buy on Ebay when I can because I get nectar points, which eventually are converted into my husband's new underpants from sainsbury's. grin

Bellasnana thats good to know as we don't like to waste our money.smile

Bellasnana Thu 09-Jan-14 21:38:04

I have had mine a few weeks now and am very pleased with them. I had ordered a white one but they sent gold instead, also a green and a peach one. The colours are really nice and long-lasting as promised.

rosesarered Thu 09-Jan-14 21:00:22

Janerowena yes I will tell you as they should arrive soon [hopefully.]Did you order yours on Amazon? I ask because they have a colour chart to show you how the different colours will look.the white one seems to be pink but a tad apricot-ish on the chart, but I will soon see. They are £5.99 each.free posting though.

Please tell me what colour the white one comes out! I just use the darkish green ones, which come out a soft deep pink on me. I have bought three, and shall probably buy some more next month. I am determined to never run out again.

Am glad I found this thread, as I can never get lipsticks to stay [the expensive ones are the best] but even then, after a meal out, they have vanished. So I looked up 'magic lipsticks' on Amazon, and ordered 2 of them a white and a green, to use under a slick of my own lipsticks.Hope they work!

Very jealous pale blue ','cambridge',' person here, feeling jealous and wondering how to invent a new way of using an apostrophe.

Absent....early morning smile
Thanks for that, I'm up far too early, so am pleased to start the day with a smile

Agus Fri 13-Dec-13 23:06:23

The Chanel Nude I mentioned up thread comes with a sharpener.

Tegan Fri 13-Dec-13 23:03:17

I stopped using lipliner a while back because I found the one I was using made my lips dry. I bought a special sharpener from the Body Shop for make up; not sure what was different about it but it seemed to work.

janerowena Fri 13-Dec-13 22:29:35

No, I had a high colour too, it's fine on me. Safe in the knowledge that i have a new green lipstick on the way, I put some of my last scrapings ont before I went to a lunchtime drinks party. My lips still look far pinker than they normally would by now, but not as if I have lipstick on. It's very good - and it's lovely to find it again as I have got to the stage where I am starting to look a bit washed out without lipstick. I was wondering how much it would hurt to have my lips tattooed!

Lipliners - please advise, I haven't a clue and the only one I was ever given was hopeless because I couldn't sharpen it. What's a good make and is there one that lets you sharpen it? I have several sharpeners and none of them worked on the blasted thing.

Tegan Fri 13-Dec-13 20:43:43

If I put on green lipstick that was meant to change colour I've got a bad feeling that, on me, it would stay green. I used to blush so badly when I was younger that I used green foundation under my usual foundation to tone it down.

Dark blue at that Agus.

Agus Fri 13-Dec-13 19:51:10

I would imagine it only comes in blue Absent to match the stockings grin

OGM I doubt if the Oxford comma is available in a variety of colours.

Oldgreymare Fri 13-Dec-13 09:46:29

I love lippy but have started to react to it, could be the dyes, even Clinique which is supposed to be 'safe'. My lips get sore and peel! sad
Instead I use a lip 'balm' which moisturises and protects and adds a clear gloss.
Now wondering whether I should have used the Oxford comma smile

Bellasnana Fri 13-Dec-13 07:37:44

Thanks Sel - I will let you know smile

Nonu Fri 13-Dec-13 07:00:58

Thanks Agus will get myself some .
Bit of an early bird today .tchgrin

Agus Thu 12-Dec-13 23:58:32

Nonu try dabbing the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour I mentioned. I use it to stop my lips drying and it works better than any lip salve.

Sel Thu 12-Dec-13 22:58:46

Bellasnana hope you're pleased with them. I have the same set, you end up with three pinks, the green one being the deepest. I'm probably good for life now. When they're finished you're not throwing away a pretty metal tube that you've paid for - another bonus smile
