Jeans that fit!

If you look on the Groupon web site they do a range of imported pull on jeans from USA. They are the most comfortable and give fantastic shape. They have a wide waist band so definatly don't look like leggings or your average elasticated waist. Honestly they are worth a try and come in blk and blue, boot cut and skinny. Just put jeans into the search. Not always in stock but feature regularly.

Love M&S straight leg black jeans and Bonmarche do a comfortable fit jean as well. Although both tend to wash and fade...even though I use non bio wash? Thanks for the info re Asda...

I am on a life long quest (like many others I'm sure ) to find the perfect pair of black denim jeans and have at least 40 pairs,which amuses my two daughters no end. I generally buy Roma bootcut from Per Una which were brilliant but the quality of them now is nothing like it was a few years ago.I also quite like Sainsburys and will look out for the Asda ones and DKNY but my latest find were at C&A in Palma ,Majorca, brilliant jeans for about 10 euros so if you're going there, have a look !!

NYDJ are good but the fit is not always the same and also I think they tend t stretch a by too much after a few washes. My problem is a flat bum so when the jeans fit around the waist they are too big around the bottom. Any ideas?

If they fit my waist they won't do up over my tum.
I do need some new ones, though.
And a snazzy Mary Berry jacket would be nice.

I go for Roma Jeans from Marks and Spencer. They sit on the waist, have smart belts and are an ideal fit for my size 16 figure. Come in 3 leg lengths.

X Catalogue closed down? Really? Ohhh no!! Mind you they do sometimes close branches. The Kendal shop closed years ago. I was in there about a month ago, spent less than £14 and came out with five items - trousers x 3 and two really nice tops. One of the trousers was the Marisota brand.

I was once stood alongside a lady in the Durham store, she picked up a lovely top marked at £6.99 (sale price) and said in a small voice 'I paid £50 for this last December...'

I haven't worn jeans for many years. When I found out that Elvis hated jeans...he had to wear them in films....then I thought not for me either!
I'm teasing of course I wear straight leg cords and canvas trousers in 12 but always need a belt because I still have a waist, hooray. I also like good quality leggings/jeggings with a huge sweater or long length top and Keds or boots.

I love Uniqlo super stretch jeans.their jeggings are good too.

Next 'High Waist Enhancer' are great. I've bought two pairs and live in them. The bootleg is quite subtle too - not a flared look. I'll be getting some straight legged for winter to tuck into boots.

I used to buy Per Una but since they changed their leg lengths and are now using some awful material that makes the jeans capable of standing up on their own, I have jumped ship to a different company.

This is such a useful thread - I hate looking for casual trousers for myself as feel I might look a bit 'mutton dressed as lamb' these days in denim. However after reading lots of the comments I've bought some Per Una Roma straight leg jeans today and am pleasantly surprised by the look although need a long tunic/top to cover the bumpy bits. Will get DD's opinion before I take the labels off! It's not just trousers that I find a problem, I do find it difficult to find something that fits my 14/16 size without looking too 'grannyish'. I know I'm 67 but I don't need to feel like that when I'm clothes shopping. I often find things in Fat Face or White Stuff which seems to appeal to all ages.

yulle87 I also have a flat bottom and used to take in the thigh seams on every pair of jeans or trousers I owned.

However, M & S used to do 'slim fit' jeans. It doesn't mean they are skinnies, it means they are slimmer cut at the bum/thigh area.

But I've looked on line and don't see them on the M & S site.

I find the only ones are M&S Per Una boot cut ones,I think they are the Roma jeans already mentioned. An interesting thread as I would like to find others. If I find a pair I buy 2 as I live in jeans.

I have bought 2 pairs of Cindy Slouch Jeans from Fifty Plus and they are just so comfortable with a stretchy jersey knit waistband. They wash well and are one of my best buys at only £18. Just wish they came in more colours.

I love NYDJ but they are really expensive. The annoying thing is that if you buy them in the U.S.A. they cost half the price they cost here. I have had bargains with them on Amazon.

If you have a British Home Stores within reach, try them. Many years ago I bought the best-fitting jeans I've ever had at BHS. A couple of months ago I needed some new jeans and trailed Oxford Street to find a good fit, eschewing jeans that cost up to £120 but still didn't fit! Remembering BHS I went there and, once again, found the perfect pair - at £15.

Sometimes the Sculpt and Lift at M & S are good, as are their meg gongs. I treated myself to some Jaeger Skinny this week and I have to say they are a cut above the chain store versions but a lot more expensive of course.

Try BHS jeans. I`m just under 5`2" and I bought three pairs of straight leg at £15 each.. black, dark denim and light denim. They all fit really well and didn`t have to shorten them as I`ve done in the past with Per Una Short leg which at 29 inside leg is still to long for my legs...

What about trousers that have a good fit for hips and legs like mine, that have their own built in jodhpurs. ??? I also have arthritis behind both knees and they are swollen. Altogether, not a good look. I love wearing trousers, but find that many are too slim in the leg dept. so, any help, suggestions gratefully received ??

Went to Asda to look at the jeans yes they are wonderfully comfortable but Asda seems to think that all ladies are the same height,average.despite several visits went on line,same thing,average!Emailed Asda,no response.Gave in and being short have had to alter them!
