White Hair + Best Products

I have had white hair for many years, usually with a few nasty looking strands of yellow after summer. I'm wondering if anyone has some tips on the best anti- yellow products to use?

I use Provoke shampoo which I find quite good, have tried expensive M&S silver shampoo which did nothing to enhance the colour but made my hair dry and frizzy.

Have seen on the web a recipe for peroxide/baking soda and cider vinegar which the poster says will deal with unwanted yellow tints. Dare I risk it?

Thank you everyone for your ideas and thoughts. Will keep on with Provoke, but might feel brave enough to try the soda + weak peroxide one day. I believe that when younger women wish to go white they first have to bleach all existing colour. I remember my Mum having a hair disaster and resorting to Domestos- not to be recommended!

My hair's silver and I'm using L'Occitaine shampoo for fine hair. It seems to work very well. I think yellowing is sometimes due to using hair products like mousse or hairspray. I occasionally use A Touch of Silver too.

Just looked at the "White Hot" site - thanks hadn't seen that one before and will give it a go - I've used Clairol Shimmer Lights and L'Oreal Silver gloss protection system and the Aveda 'Blue Malva' in the past - but when my sister-in-law said she liked my new hair colour (as under the restaurant lights it turned out to look a pale mauve! And not quite what I had in mind!!!) I have to watch and restrict its use - as they say always read the instructions...
Has anyone tried taking their grey / white hair to platinum? And if so what did you use and was it permanent - I'd like to try that but only if I could go back to white / grey silver if it didn't work.
