If you have bought any clothes, shoes/boots etc in the last week, thought it may be fun to say what the item was, where you bought it,and if it's for something special, tell us? It may give us some good ideas.smile

Alea I want the tan boots as well, and the plum/suede, but that would be greedy!grin I did wonder what a Ning was.
Antjexix I read your post as 'cat flap' at first.

Alea Fri 06-Nov-15 09:11:21

A flat cap?? You'll be needing a whippet then !grin

Antjexix Fri 06-Nov-15 07:01:46

That was meant to say beautiful...

Got my wintercoat in the sales at Wallis. Also bought DH a beutiful lambswool scarve and his very first flatcap at M&S.

What is my iPod on??
That should have been "lining" <sigh>

Alea Thu 05-Nov-15 22:52:53

Bag
You like?

Alea Thu 05-Nov-15 22:50:55

Ooh, rosesarered I bought those in tan last year and wore them non stop. Sadly it's just too mild for boots at present sad
I was in JL today and found a lovely little mirrored clutch bag which I think will match the latest Ning (and turned back cuffs) of my wedding jacket. Result !

Well, I could drive there (just under two hours) but then I couldn't drink the Prosecco could I sad

NotTooOld Thu 05-Nov-15 18:20:55

The big new John Lewis in Birmingham has a Juice Bar just outside the main door but no sign of a Prosecco Bar! Incidentally, John Lewis OWNS the Juice Bar, so I was told. Our nearest big M and S has only a café with stained upholstery on the seats.

Ooh, just googled that M&S store (now is it too far to travel to it?)

hmm probably

NanKate Thu 05-Nov-15 16:51:05

A Prosecco Bar in M and S Elrel now that sounds like my kind of store wine. I bet it's in the middle of London, or perhaps some holiday town ?

Well, after lusting after the plum colour Hotter boots ( Mystery style) I surprised myself by liking them in black leather better, when trying them on, so bought the black.Roomy enough to tuck your jeans into, and ultra comfy, so a good buy.Wish I could buy online, but I prefer to try things on in the shop.

Elrel Thu 05-Nov-15 10:02:18

Grey top, thin to go under other jumpers, at our huge new M&S which was opened yesterday by Twiggy. Food hall so tempting though unsure how much I'll patronise the prosecco bar!!

roses - so true, so very true. And then when you do find something you want to buy they ask

You're not buying that, are you?
How much is it?
Are you sure you need it?

OMG - sad

rosesarered Wed 04-Nov-15 10:42:47

That's because DH's have the shopping attention of a gnat, no staying power, always whimpering about sitting down and having a cappuccino.

NotTooOld Wed 04-Nov-15 10:22:55

Very hit and miss, rose. Normally I find nothing but this time I was with my sister who is happy to spend ages looking through the rails - it was she who spotted the one I bought. If I am in the store with DH I never find anything!

rosequartz Tue 03-Nov-15 22:33:04

I was looking for something similar in my TKMaxx - nothing there
It's very hit and miss, isn't it.

NotTooOld Tue 03-Nov-15 22:25:23

rose - oh yes, even a bit of angora is terrible with dark colours, I find. I tend to avoid it now.

I bought a long navy waistcoat from TKMaxx recently. It's a good length and has pockets, which is good. It is half wool, half acrylic and nice and warm. Should be useful with lots of things. It was £24.99 but I can't remember what it was reduced from.

rosequartz Tue 03-Nov-15 19:13:25

posie I have a warm, long knitted cardigan from CC - unfortunately it contains some angora. It's impossible to wear it with anything black, navy etc as it leaves rabbit hairs over everything.

Didn't get black jeans from M&S, but found some Per Una straight leg ones in a deep indigo colour, which fitted well and a good heavy warm denim with a bit of stretch.Bought a couple of meals in the food dept but no cake, as I won't get into the jeans if I'm not a bit careful.

rosesarered Tue 03-Nov-15 16:14:38

Don't mind at all!grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 03-Nov-15 13:18:33

No. The thread can be for any purchases. Sort of shared retail therapy. smile

rrr won't mind.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 03-Nov-15 13:17:05

I would like to wear those M & S leggings with stirrups. Would be good on my bike. But I have got rather chunky legs. hmm Not fat - just, well, sturdy.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 03-Nov-15 13:15:21

I picked up my order for 2 pairs of M and S jimjams for DD for Xmas yesterday. On the way home it dawned on me that I had bought completely the wrong size. hmm

Cambia Tue 03-Nov-15 12:32:17

Reiker ankle boots in blue when I was desperate for a new pair of ankle boots in black! I love Reiker they are just so comfortable and stylish.

M&S leggings with stirrups so they don't need tucking into boots all the time and no draughty gaps!

Thermal top from M&S - going to be lovely and snug this winter
