If you have bought any clothes, shoes/boots etc in the last week, thought it may be fun to say what the item was, where you bought it,and if it's for something special, tell us? It may give us some good ideas.smile

Ooh, sorry, just read the OP and realised this thread is meant to be for clothes. I bought some dark green jeggings from M and S so I think I have every colour now. Sooooo comfortable although I had to go up a size which makes the legs looser, which is good.

Posie - I have some black cotton trousers from M and S that are exactly the same. Strange as other black cotton trousers seem fairly ok. Hope the fabric conditioner works.

What have I bought this week? Three books from Amazon that were on offer - three for £10 and free postage. I was stuck on a third when I spotted a New Scientist book purporting to answer scientific questions in plain language. Will be good for my 14 year old grandson for Christmas although he probably doesn't need the answer in plain language as he is turning into a boffin....hmm

Black jeans from Matalan.

They would make great material for dusters as when I wore them they attracted every stray hair, fluff etc. imaginable! confused

I've now washed them using fabric conditioner hoping it will help.

Anyone else solved this problem or is it just inevitable?

Yesterday, almost last of Christmas shopping gifts, via Amazon and local shops. Already on their way to family overseas...... excellent free delivery including trikes and other bulky items.

Today, two lampshades for newly decorated stairs/landing.

Only DH to sort... the man who has everything, can't think of anything he wants... And also has a birthday end November.

I am brain numb thinking of gifts for him, as are dc.

Never mind respect for kayaking, respect for being so organised with Christmas shopping!! I have sent my DD money for winter coats as that is what the GC want and I wouldn't dare choose those but that is the extent of my planning.

I have got loads of ideas from reading all the posts on here, and am off to town now to look for a warm jumper and some new black jeans ( I may be some time!)I will also pop into M&S for a coffee and pastry as it's my DD2's turn to pay! She will be hunting for jeggings in varying colours, but as she is a size 10 they look fine on her.

grin
I have the bargain of the century (in my eyes anyway!), a M&S cashmere polo neck sweater on the Sale rail for £10 reduced from £159.99 shock

I don't care how cold it gets now!

Nelliemoser Mon 02-Nov-15 13:35:34

Today I bought a new bra and after the sucess of the first one two more M&S heattec thermal tops. Snug as a bug I will be this winter.

I must throw out the two old bras with withered elastene and not keep wearing them. Trouble is when I take them off they go back in the wash and are to hand when I need one in the morning.

I bought a little white china cream jug. The handles are in the form of angels' wings. It is in very bad taste, and I love it.

Only a couple of euros too!

Supposed to be a really cold Winter this year ( hope so, may get rid of all the lurgies) so buy things you need in good time, before the rush!

I am a fan of cord trousers for winter, however M & S cords seem to
be rather inferior quality this year, have now found an online outlet
called 'James Meade & Co' lovely high quality goods just purchased
A pair of Olive And a pair of Navy cords from them. Am also a fan
of 'Woolovers' knits.

I like that shop, eccentric and there is a lovely shoe shop in Burford as well.

My husband returned a surprise hat he bought for me...Bill and Ben! Then bought me a hat in Maggie whites in burford,Cotswolds. Love it. I had the calico summer version and wear it loads. I love hats, but they don't all suit me.
I need to be brave now and wear it when I see my mom. She can be very rude. Ha!!!!!

Landsend children's catalogue came. I ordered a fleece top size age 13 . I had bought one in the sale last month. Fits well, I'm about size 10 ladies.

ninathenana Fri 30-Oct-15 16:15:16

I have just ordered a black 3/4 wool coat for DH to pay for as my Christmas present.

Yes, he does know thlgrin

annodomini Fri 30-Oct-15 15:34:23

I found a pair of red loafers in the Hotter sale section. Ordered on Wednesday, they arrived today. They go well with my new red gloves.

Kayteeb53 Fri 30-Oct-15 12:38:52

Bought some Respose night cream from Temple Spa, I love the smell of this cream. Very virtuous as Temple Spa donating to Centrepoint with each purchase. Didn't even feel guilty!

TheMillersTale Thu 29-Oct-15 11:44:52

And can I recommend some of the new M&S beauty stuff?

The Miller Harris collab is great and they have Nuxe too. I've long used the Nuxe dry body oil, the reve du miel lip balm and cleansers and am awfully glad I can find them much more easily now.

TheMillersTale Thu 29-Oct-15 11:43:14

I have bought a pair of biker boots from Harley Davidson, the less utilitarian kind.

I also ordered a bottle of one of my favourite perfumes, Felanilla from Les Senteurs. I will probably give it to my husband to give back to me for Christmas.

I'm looking for a perfect midnight blue/navy cardigan, preferably round necked, modern in style. Cotton or cotton/wool mix. I need a new black and a grey one too. That'll be my next purchase.

And very profligate- I have my eye on a pair of Miu Miu shoes.

rosequartz Thu 29-Oct-15 11:42:26

I saw some nice boiled wool coats the other day, but as they weren't lined I thought they might be itchy.

Elrel Thu 29-Oct-15 09:47:38

M&S bnwt grey cashmere tunic/dress from ebay. Liked it in store, decided I couldn't afford it then found just one in the right size online. I got it for just over half price.
Coolgran - not such a bargain as your jumper dresses!!
