If you have bought any clothes, shoes/boots etc in the last week, thought it may be fun to say what the item was, where you bought it,and if it's for something special, tell us? It may give us some good ideas.smile

There's a lot of boiled wool stuff around at the moment, very cosy.I am at present lusting after the coat that actress Nichola Walker wears in River(tv)
It looks like the old 'boucle' wool coats from yesteryear, loose fitting and warm.

I bought a boiled wool pale grey long open coat, £20 from Primark, am on a budget, don't need it, but I loved it and have worn it every day this week :-)

No clothes but two chain saws and a petrol strimmer to replace ones that were stolen a few weeks ago.
Also, some blue and white bowls and a doorstop from a junk stall.

I am trying so hard not to buy clothes as I have loads that I hardly ever wear, but I do need a couple of pairs of M & S cord trousers for everyday wear and another cashmere poloneck to get me through the winter grin

I have 2 pairs of Reiker sandals, they have sparkles on as well as being comfy. One pair is three years old and so good looking still. I will look at the boots now.

Judy, thanks for the mascara tip, will have a look at that one.

Off to look at the Reiker site now!smile

Mmmmmn, peanut butter!
Today I bought some Halloween goodies for the DGC ( only nice things) I usually put a little goody bag together for all of them.
Also bought a lot of Avon stuff online, things for presents and also myself, as I love Perceive perfume and deo.

I have 5 pairs of quality boots (bought from the Outlet Centre) and none of the fit me properly, skinny feet especially at the heels. Today I went into a small local privately owned shoe shop with my friend.
There they were...looking at me. A pair of flat ankle boots with laces, gorgeous tan leather to go with everything. Good strong rubber soles. Beautiful multi coloured trimming at the collar. Light as a feather. Thought I'd just try them on !! Bliss, they fitted perfectly, lots of toe room, the laces keeping them from slipping at my heels.

I have seen folks mention Reiker ...but have never owned a pair.
These were Reiker....What bliss.
They had to be mine. I even paid full price, no sale stuff.

All my other ill fitting boots are now on eBay.

4 kilos of peanut butter, aldi washing powder, rapeseed oil (the Spanish won't countenance that since the awful tragedy in the 80s), Liz Earle products and lots more stuff I can only get in the UK or is very expensive here. No clothes or shoes though as I am operating a strict (ish) policy of one in one out and I don't need anything this year. I also ate out a lot on my recent visit so I'm not really abstemious. My extra 3 kilos are testament to that but the food in the UK is so darned good.

I noticed that several of these posts referred to Joe Browns - not a brand I'd heard of. I investigated, and I'm impressed! Not quite so "out there" as Desigual (which I love), but some very interesting seaming. I shall buy!!!

I bought a new mascara - it is a real find. I have very short eyelashes, and sensitive eyes, and hate clumpy mascara. This mascara is amazing and better than any other I have ever tried.

It is called Eye Care Volumizing Mascara, Sensitive Eyes from Butterflies Eyecare. I bought mine locally (Oxfordshire) but you can buy their products online. I've no connection with the company other than as a very satisfied customer!!

We're on holiday in Alicante. I've just bought DD a sleeveless coat in Zara. £80 at home - £60 here for the exact same thing! Bought DGD some gorgeous shoes and intend buying myself some beautiful leather boots at a fraction of the price I would pay at home. And that's me only starting my shopping!

I bought a pair of suede ankle bots from next which are very comfy and look great with jeans and leggings.

Help. I would like to buy something quite soon! Am looking for a long padded gilet . My friend arrived in a lovely bright pink one that reached her hip level that she bought on a market stall in France. Everything I have looked at in UK is too short for me. Has anyone any suggestions? Even Long Tall Sally's seems short, ie. just below waist.

I did buy some silk socks from Patra and they are lovely, are lightly elasticated and have no seams along the toes to rub.

I bought a gorgeous pair of totally indulgent shoes from Joe Browns. Grey suede with a high heel, floral side panels & fasten with a large grey satin ribbon. Then I had to have to tunic to go with them. It is ages since I have seen something I just could not resist & I LOVE them.

Cashmere is expensive but it is an investment if you treat it carefully. I have had my V neck black cashmere sweater for years and with well made black trousers it is my standard evening gear. I just add some bling and a colourful scarf and that will take me anywhere. It looks fine with either boots, flats or heels depending on the occasion.
My other faithful standby is a grey sweater and flannel trousers. I travel a lot and these two outfits with accessories is often all I need to look smart and comfortable. So, expensive? Not really. Take good care quality items and you save money!

I bought a fluffy jacket from Lidls. Only £6.99, with "thumb holes" I wouldn't wear it outside but indoors over a t_shirt, it's very warm and snuggly! wink

I bought a pair of jeggings from Per Una; they are wonderfully stretchy and skim over the lumps and bumps!

rosesarered Wed 28-Oct-15 08:52:30

Jingl M&S seem to be doing well out of you!

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 28-Oct-15 08:43:16

Oh yes! I bought some violas too! Purple. And some wallflower plants to put in with the tulip bulbs.

Tegan Tue 27-Oct-15 23:49:21

I love black violas, but never thought to plant them with daffodils. Thanks for the idea.

annodomini Tue 27-Oct-15 23:00:24

Twenty very dark (almost black) violas to plant in trough with mini daffodils.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 27-Oct-15 22:01:43

And some bananas.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 27-Oct-15 22:00:58

Bought a nice compact printer to replace the geriatric one which has finally given up the ghost, great photos for various Mothers and son.
Just noticed this is under style and beauty, ah well.
It's Fur Coat and nae knickers in Edinburgh, mainly aimed at the Morningside area, quite close to where i grew up.
