If you have bought any clothes, shoes/boots etc in the last week, thought it may be fun to say what the item was, where you bought it,and if it's for something special, tell us? It may give us some good ideas.smile

I think sometimes, you don't even have to spend much for a bit of retail therapy to be enjoyable.I went out with my DD1 a couple of weeks ago, and we had coffee and cake at a lovely local garden centre, and only bought a couple of small scented candles each, and had a look round, but it was both relaxing and nice.

Sounds like a good morning's work grin

I love your Mason's plate Nelliemoser - it's fantastic to buy something just because isn't it.
I've been extravagant and bought a pair of new knee high black boots, a pair of black jeans and two roll neck sweaters. I escaped from any responsibilities for a whole 4 hours one morning last week and just shopped for myself. I felt slightly guilty and very self indulgent and had one of those conversations with myself where you reassure yourself you haven't shopped like this for, well ages. You have only a couple of 3 year old sweaters and no decent jeans. Loved every minute once I'd shooed the guilt away.

A blue, short sleeved, button down collar, work shirt for DH! [halo emoticon]

I bought a lovely red warm winter coat from M&S with 20% off due to the new Sparkle loyalty card. I was really pleased as I looked all last year and couldn't find anything I liked.

Bought some really cheap tee shirts because our luggage had gone missing when we arrived in San Francisco (that was 3 weeks ago now)

The luggage arrived and the rest of the holiday I didn't need to buy any clothes, except the obligatory Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco tee shirts which I bought when we spent a day in town there.

The only other acquisition were post cards, I think, a couple of souvenirs and a small gift (Christmas tree baubles) for the neighbours who looked after the house while we were gone. Luggage allowance didn't really permit much more than just buying the food we ate and paying for all the admission fees to parks, etc.

America is expensive!

Best bit today was free though, Jo Malone have opened their concession in our local JL and they were giving free hand and arm massages with your choice of their products (Lime, basil and Mandarine ...mmmmm) along with chocs and a complimentary glass of fizz smile

Primark?

Bellanonna Sun 25-Oct-15 17:57:15

Granjura - what's a singing bowl please? Welcome back to the UK. Probably a tad warmer here?

That's the problem I find, buying nice stuff as presents, and then finding it hard to give them away!

Alea Sun 25-Oct-15 16:55:15

A rather lovely pair of midnight blue suede wedges for DDs wedding. Dithering between those (VanDal) and equally nice pair by Gabor, so solved the problem by having both, but swapping the Gabors for black suede. smile

Just about to buy a beautiful "berry colours" scarf by EAST for youngest DD's birthday (if I can bear to part with it when the time comes hmm....)

will go mad tomorrow when I go to Lakeland in Stratford - spiraliser first, one for me and one for DD2... and then ?

I bought a light-as-a-feather coat from Uniqlo's Ultra Light Down range. It is very warm, amazingly unbulky and fits into a small bag.

I now want many of the delightful other things mentioned in this thread.

I think The Golden Girls gave nighties a bad name, Conni7. grin I used to watch it and DBH told me I was never to wear anything like that! Maybe when I'm 80. I doubt it though, I hate them, they ride up and are very draughty on midnight walks to the loo.

Falconbird Sun 25-Oct-15 16:38:21

Not new -but new to me. I but I bought a pair of jeans, a top, a fleece and a cardigan with frills for £8. at a Charity Shop. smile

Also bought a quilted jacket (new) from Bon Marche.

granjura Sun 25-Oct-15 16:12:40

Can't stop now I've started - 2 scarves from the street market in Leamington Spa and a ...

100 year old Tibetan singing bowl - always wanted one and this one sings beautifully.

Alima Sun 25-Oct-15 15:53:00

I have treated myself to a rather snazzy zipped fleece cardigan. Will be welded to fleece till spring.

Conni7 Sun 25-Oct-15 15:31:11

Have nighties gone out of fashion? M&S have masses of pyjamas, but only a few nighties and they're horrible colours.

KatyK Sun 25-Oct-15 15:12:28

I bought a pair of little grey suede shoe boots which I love. I also bought an outfit for my teenage granddaughter to wear for a party smile She chose it herself obviously!

seacliff Sun 25-Oct-15 14:45:34

I bought some sheepskin shorty Ugg style boots from Costo as my indoor winter slippers - gorgeous.

Plus a padded jacket from M & S (between seasons) with 20% off. And a bottle of Baileys as early Christmas present for me

TriciaF Sun 25-Oct-15 14:32:03

ps sizes are generous, and some styles are unisex, no shaping at the waist.
