Am I too old to wear a onesie?

What one wears in private is one's own business.......you're not going to go to Tesco in it are you!

I was given one last Christmas as a joke. It is so lovely and snug that I'm going to get another one. Only problem is visiting the loo.

No, you're not alone grouchbag. At the moment I am a reindeer, a tiger, a leopard, a duck and Minnie Mouse through various nights of the week and, best of all, I'm warm and comfortable. I think onesie's are great - whatever age. Why should the under tens have all the fun - and why should age come into it anyway

Onesies shouldn't be seen on anyone over the age of three.

There ought to be a law!

I saw some not long ago on a online store and I admit to stopping and looking. I had one as a teenager but I've always had big feet and I'm long waisted. Also the middle of the night loo visit might wake me up too much having to deal with on and off maneuvers.

I've got one too. Given as a gift with love and trepidation by my DGC. I love it even though they were rolling on the floor laughing when I put it on. Mine is fluffy with a hood like a dressing gown. But the loo is the biggest problem

No of course not anyone can wear whatever they blooming well like. I have one and so does OH nothing snugger on a Winters night for just lazing around in..

The loo thing would put me off. But you can do what you want in your own home absolutely. I wear a hoodie, cosy joggers and sheepskin boots when it's very cold indoors - comfy and warm, even if it looks a bit weird.

Young people sometimes go outdoors in them. No reason why older people should not do so as well as long as they don't give a damn/have the confidence.
Nice to have DDs or DDILs to give fashion opinions when asked otherwise none of their biz.
What you wear by your own fireside certainly not their biz.
Sounds like a good way to keep warm and save a few groats on heating.

Have to confess though I did laugh at my mother once - it was when she announced she was going to apply to train as a marriage guidance councillor (beam, own eye etc). But she did go on to help a lot of people despite my hilarity. Never sorted the elephant in the room though.

Bought 2 more from Lidl after the first one was such a success, giving me the best sleeps ever. Recall grandad had a trapdoor in his long johns which puzzled me for years......... Perhaps this is the solution to the loo problem.

PS One of my onesies has no visible means of entry which puzzled himself for a while...........!

Your NEVER too old for a onsie and they save on heating bills, bonus :-)

I am over 60...as are most of my friends...we all wear them...and we all love our onesies!!
They happen to be the most comfiest..cosiest things ever!
Who doesn't want to be relaxed in your own home?
We have stylish ones.....as do Peter Andre and his girlfriend to wear around the home...what is the problem??

Everyone (except babies for whom they are designed) is too old for a onesie.

Sorry folks, Baubles is absolutely right, except perhaps the maximum age should be two. Since when has a sleeping bag with arms and legs been a fashion statement.

I think one should wear what one likes, conditional of course one ones ability to remove said garment when nature calls without much warning

I remember them first time round, never long enough in the body and making trips to the loo very chilly.

My GS loves his and he is 9.......he had a new wolf one for his birthday. Son 36 has a blue one which he wears at home to relax in. Not for me but they love theirs. They do not wear them out so all their own taste and their own business IMO.

HildaW, your post reminded me of something I was told a wkile ago, about a notice in some supermarkets in Wales saying, " no onesies or sleepware to be worn in store". So it looks as though some folk did shop wearing them
