White Eyebrows

My hair was black when I was alive, and so were my eyebrows. Now they're turning grey as well - I used to pluck the light hairs out but if I keep doing that then am going to have none left. What do other ladies do?

Mine get plucked but at present, although my hair is grey my eyebrows are dark brown. I do get fed up with the person who threads my brows offering to dye them. They are not at that stage yet.

Wish I had a decent set of eyebrows they are a very thin line (still brown) but my DF trimmed my fringe in the late 60's with his electric shaver and didn't stop the blades and I had to go to school the next day with no eyebrows he wouldn't let me stay at home sad

Mine are pale and sparse now. I brush brown eye shadow powder over them as it gives a softer effect than a hard eyebrow pencil line. I think I need the definition so its worth it (to me anyway!)

Mine too are very sparse but tidy, I use an eyebrow definer from Avon its like a very soft felt tip and just colours the hair a little and fills in gaps but very lightly so you can't tell. They come in brown, grey and blonde.

I also use the Avon brow defined in blonde. My eyebrows ave always been pale. Today I got them dyed which lasts about 4 weeks for £4.

Maybelline Brow Drama. (It's a coloured gel for eyebrows).

Colorsport eyebrow and lash dye - £8 a bottle , you just need a wee bit so the bottle lasts ages .

I dye mine with coloursport £3.99 from B&M . A little tip I was given in Bodyshop was to use a GREY eye pencil not brown as its too warm a colour and not natural looking , my natural hair colour is light reddish brown and the grey looks perfect on eyebrows. Inbetween dying them I softly fill in with the grey , it does give your face some definition along with a good blusher !

I have pepper and salt eyebrows and use a mid-brown eybrow pencil. I find this very effective

It's nice to know that Fumanchu is still concerned about her looks from the 'other side'

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 22-Jun-16 15:29:36

I dye mine too using the Colorsport kit (tip - leave on for less than the recommended time the first time you dye your brows. Better to be too light and build up the colour than get a shock if they're too dark, although they do fade).

f77ms I might try a grey pencil. wink

Well sometimes feel like one annodomini lol. Agree re looking awful if they are too dark - the problem with black and white brows though is that if I use a brown pencil then that looks very odd. Maybe plucking them to a fine line and then using a black tint would work. TY all, I'll google those products.

You made me smile !

I dye mine and pull out the white ones as they dye differently to the others. I'm still contemplating getting semi permanent ones.

Salt and pepper hair colour - more salt than pepper now - and very dark brown eyebrows apart from the occasional white hair which I pluck as it looks strange. I would quite like to dye my eyebrows to match my hair but have no idea how.

I too have some white hairs, mixed in with the dark brown. Not sure now who told me, but I use Just for Men beard gel colour !! £4.26 in Superdrug. You mix the tiniest equal bit from each of 2 tubes, it doesn't drip. Smear it on and only leave for 3 mins max, I think less time than they say, as don't want it too dark. The packet will last for ages as I use such a little. It works well.

When I discussed the grey hairs sprouting in my otherwise dark brows my hairdresser suggested dipping a cotton bud in hair dye and wiping that on my brows. I haven't tried it yet because of all the warnings about not getting the dye in your eyes. Anybody tried this method?

Benefit have just launched a whole range of products for eyebrows (and also do waxing etc in store) I have one of their new GoofProof eyebrow pencils which includes fine filaments and a soft wind up crayon thingy- its brilliant at filling in my gaps where my chicken pox scar is right in the middle of my right eyebrow and easy to use. I have mine waxed and tinted monthly but this pencil keeps that process going.

I tend to pluck out the white ones but that leaves a gap. I'm also concerned that some of the hairs are rather long and I am hoping I haven't inherited my father's bushy brows. An elderly relation (even older than me) has these brows that must run in the family as my aunt also had them, isn't the kind of woman who bothers about such things. I, however, am still vain enough to want a solution. If I pluck out the long hairs that also leaves gaps. My mum use to trim my dad's eyebrows when she cut his hair, but somehow I don't think that would work for me!
