I've been a slave to Clinique forever but I'm finding it a bit dry for my skin the past few months and perhaps I need to swap to something for more mature skin. Are there any moisturisers you'd recommend?

L'Oréal Golden Age - used to use Clarins (still a big fan, but too expensive), then Boots No7 Advanced (pricey now), but L'Oréal is really good and Superdrug often have it on offer so I can buy Day and Night at reduced price. Win wingrin

Nivea Naturals- I use the day and night creams. They suit my skin which is sensitive and very dry and they smell nice too.
I think the ridiculously expensive creams are a rip-off and the "wonder" ingredients do more harm than good in the long run.
I often get complimented on my skin so I must be doing something right!

For years I've been using Olay combined moisturiser+serum. It is reasonably priced and has kept my very dry skin in excellent condition. This saves a bit of time too as it cuts out the need for applying serum and then moisturiser.

I'm a Nivea Soft addict too. Apparently, Joan Collins uses it, and she's hanging together pretty well. I guess with her money she could afford any expensive cream she wanted, but still uses Nivea which must say something.
Mind you - you can't believe everything you read on the 'net!

You need to up,your game on skincare as you get older ..
Retinal and hyaluronic acid -and matryxil are the key ingredients.
No 7 serum is good. La Roche posay redermic for retinol

Eucerin for hyaluronic
All French skincare lines are very good.
Plus there is anew brand called the Ordinary that is cheap and amazing targeted skincare and Niod if you can afford it. ( neck cream is very good )!

PS my skin is hideously dry, so the cream helps everywhere...

I'm allergic to all but "Aqueous Cream BP" which is entirely mineral in content. It is a wonderful moisturiser and it costs about £5 for an enormous tub!
I also use it instead of soap, for the same reasons... My skin is pretty good.

None but I do take collagen.

I love the £1 tube of Derma V10 Multi Radiance from Savers. It has SPF15 and my skin has never been better.

I use evening primrose too! I find it soaks in very well, is not messy, doesn't smell too strongly, and is light. However sometimes I do use just nivea if I run out. Clinique dries my skin too much.

I like the Lidl one or No 7

Niven Q10 day cream. I changed from Clinique following a recommendation on here ages ago. I regret all the clinique too! I also use the Aldi serum but I'm not sure whether it's necessary.

No matter how carefully I apply anything, it always seems to migrate to my eyes and make them sore. A friend told me about Beauty Naturals on line and the Martha Hill range. I now use Martha Hill Evening Primrose moisturiser and it is wonderful. Longlasting and I can slather it on especially around the eye area and no soreness.

I like boots/simple face sensitive skin care range also quite like beauty naturals

Nivea Soft, whenever I try anything else I never feel it does the job quite like Nivea.

I always used to use Clarins when I was working and could afford it. Since retiring I have had to economise and tried Astral. Now I regret having spent so much money in the past and my skin is better than it has ever been. Because it's not expensive I can put plenty on and my skin feels totally moisturised.

CannyGranny Sat 11-Mar-17 09:33:03

Always used Olay or similar but bought some Nivea and found it brilliant. Would recommend - skin feels nice and cheap to buy!

harrysgran Sat 11-Mar-17 09:32:09

At the moment I'm using olay but to be honest whatever is on offer I also like Aldi

Espa 24 hour replenishing moisturiser, lovely texture, sinks in really well, gorgeous smell, I've tried lots but this one works for me.

Coconut oil! From time to time I might add Boots Botanics.

Charleygirl Fri 10-Mar-17 21:06:09

Mainly Oil of Olay- I have been using it for years and it suits my skin type.

I usually use Clarins Extra Firming Day Cream moisturiser but ran out and have been using a small free pot of Clinique Smart SPF15 and have come out in a few itchy bumps on my face. It could be from something else of course.

The Clarins moisturiser which reduces age spots is wonderful but too expensive!
