Shoes and sandalls

I find Rieker shoes & boots very comfortable, but I live & die in Varca every single day of the year, come rain or come shine!

I suffer from Plantis Facilitis, & Varca sandals help more than anything.

I bought some Clarks trigenic. I dont want to wer anything else now..SOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfy!!

After foot problems nearly all of my adult life I would say, like some OPs, that Skechers are the best shoes ever for comfort. They are so light too that they are brilliant for packing for your holidays.

I haven't put mine in a washing machine but I did wash them in a bucket with a capful of hand wash, rinsed then air dried them, and they were like new again.

I now have 3 pairs, one of them for in the house as I like the cushioning it gives me from my slate tiled kitchen floor.

When my grandson asked me yesterday why I always wear those shoes, I replied it's because they are the most comfortable shoes in the world!

Is it true you can throw Skechers into the washing machine?
The days of polishing are long gone... My dad used to polish ours every day.

For my wedding 50 years ago I wore a pair of white stilettos with very high heels and long pointed toes. I never wore them again, but I'm amazed to see very similar styles in shops today. Do we never learn? Some shoes worn by celebrities look absolutely crippling!

I have deep feet, IYKWIM and have to buy wide shoes. I find Hotters supremely comfortable and they are not all old fashioned.

Skechers are the most comfortable shoes I've worn I also have birkinstock sandals which are great for summer I do have fitflop sandals but find them difficult to drive in I might try sketches boots this winter

Clarks Funny Dream are fabulously comfortable. For sandals, Birkenstocks.

Hotter shoes...they are sooo comfy, and PRETTY. Are made in lovely colours too. I live in them, whether sandals, boots, heels or flats.

Moshulu is my favourite but I can't get them locally. I've had several pairs of their moccasins that I've worn for years and some mules for the summer. I keep an eye on eBay as occasionally brand new old stock comes for sale. My local Pavers shop has some real comfy shoes too. As I have two dodgy knees I had to give up on heels a few years ago, so flats are the only thing in my wardrobe now. If I'd known what damage I was doing to my joints years ago I would have cut down on the stilettos!

I brought some Hotter shoes last week, they were part of the the new trendy but comfortable range (flats). I wore them last Thursday, never again!!! My feet are still healing from the nasty big blisters all over my feet including the soles and its been over a week. They are now on eBay.

My daughter, who has foot problems, was recommended to buy Skechers, as they have good support. I tried some out recently, and I am an instant convert. Light as a feather, and so comfortable for walking. Not something I'd wear with a dress, but I shall look out some of these on this page - comfort first these days - but not quite ready to give up all style altogether!

My feet are small and not too wide, in fact they look ok, but they are always terribly painful. I can only wear the softest shoes and Skechers are pretty good for me. I have some Hotter ballerinas which are pretty enough for dressier occasions, but still give me some pain.
I have several pairs of gorgeous 'killer heels' from back in the day. I can't stand up in them, let alone walk, but I can't bring myself to part with them. Sometimes I get them out and sit on the bed just wearing them and admiring the style - it brings back happy memories!

I have found a company called Cosyfeet online. They sell really good looking shoes and sandals for those of us who need extra wide styles.

Remonte suit me well. I have size 4, very wide feet (EEE)with high insteps, and need a deep toe-box due to developing hammer toes. I hadn't heard of Remonte until a couple of years ago, when I discovered a small shoe shop in Thornton Cleveleys, Lancashire, where the owner recommended them. Lovely quality leather, and VERY comfortable.

Give me the killer heels any day! OK not for walking obviously.

Hotter shoes saved a holiday for me when I had hurt my foot and couldn't get anything else on - since then I've become a convert as they have some lovely styles in glorious colours. I also like Van Dal - they are chic but comfortable.

Plain, flat ballet-style shoes every time - bliss!

I wear sketchers to they last for years I got a pair of reiker trainers and they are bliss the times of painful shoes are def over if they are comfy I wear them same with clothes it's 1 of the good things about getting older

I think we all wear comfortable shoes for general day to day rushing around and I'm not too worried about the style.

But for going out shoes I would recommend Hobbs. Lovely styles from flat to killer heels with everything inbetween. All leather lined and for me incredibly comfortable, no matter which heel I choose. Great shoes.

I always buy flats/ballerinas (smart ones and casual ones) and keep a few pairs of heels for certain events. Most of my smart flats go with my smart dresses so I don't use the heels much. I always buy a shoe that is a little bit loose and wear those "half" insoles that are made for the front of the shoe only...it certainly makes the difference. No pain! I also have my toe nails cut by a chiropodist which is absolute luxury and worth every penny!

My friend recommended Softinos and I have a pair which are very comfy & forgiving of my bunion & not frumpy like so many ultra comfy makes! However, this afternoon I'll be abandoning common sense & comfort & squeezing into some killer heels for my best friend's wedding - a landmark occasion as she was 60 yesterday & has never been married before! I doubt I'll keep the heels on long & will be swapping them for my trusty Softinos!

I love Reiker too,their shoes are comfy and stylish and their ankle boots are great for winter.

Try cosyfeet in street somerset. They make the most wonderful comfortable shoes.

I buy most of my shoes from Pavers, particularly like Flyflot. Having said that, the most comfortable boots I've had for years are a pair if slouch boots that cost me £9.99 in Shoezone and I've worn them every winter for the last 3 years.
